Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

For everyone who guessed Azwel is right. I got the screenshot from this video that Namco streamed last night.

I think this is the final game because Azwel isn't on the character select. I think he was unlocked at TGS 2018 & demo build last week because he was in the list of characters that have a Soul Chronicle Story. No wonder Namco told not to play Azwel because they said he's too powerful in the demo build. It makes sense to for Azwel to be the 2nd unlockable boss by completing Libra of Soul. The final game's HUD looks a little different too when at full health.
I think this could be a weird debug build. Maybe even a much older build than we're used to seeing.

First of all, missing stage thumbnails with what looks like placeholder text ("**BGM Select**" also looks like placeholder text):
stage-select.png

Secondly, the character thumbnails on the select screen are lacking colour. This is a subtle thing which has changed between builds, but the other recent build we've seen has full-colour character thumbnails.

Why random select is on the side and not in between those two stages is tilting me for life. Reeeeee

For me this is a very good news. I don't wanna play online vs a stupid overpowered boss. They made the right choice.

Better than designing his movelist so that it isn't stupid overpowered and we would actually have a new character on the roster?

Really like what they did with this boss character, always wanted to play Devil Kazumi in t7 when i was messing around with friends offline, really hope we can play him in versus.

Um, it kinda makes sense for Inferno to be overpowered, given that he's our final boss and main bad guy of Soul Chronicle. Same goes for Azwel, him being the antagonist in LoS. I don't mind those 2 being OP personally but i think it's good they're made this way for the above mentioned reasons. Just a friendly observation.

Azwel is fully playable and balanced with the rest of the cast but Inferno is not. You're taking the concept of "overpowered" and saying a character cannot be balanced with the rest of the cast because of how it looks on a trailer. That is just incorrect. The only real proof we have of Inferno being truly broken is that Namco straight up told us he will not be available to play online. Meaning they will not be focusing any attention on balancing him. Plenty of other games have made bosses fully playable and they weren't even top tier despite how "overpowered" they seem. PS could have designed Inferno still balanced with the rest of the roster.
