I don't want this to come off as a tit for tat situation and as such might seem diengenuous, but Idoll, I really enjoyed your venomancer. She was clean, a good use of patterns and accessories, and it finally sold me on the nurse pack. I really thought I wasted money on the sexy DLC, but now I know I can really work 'em if I try (^_^)

Absolutely!
The Nurse Boots are possibly my favorite footwear in the game, as you can do so much with the patterns and stickers on that piece.

Actually when I designed him I was thinking WRPG, where it's not uncommon for bosses to be puny humans. But this could be his first form anyway (especially since he already can grow wings and breath fire).

I kind of regret not entering this contest. I have this very specific concept in mind for a "class" I always like to play, whenever I get the choice. It's basically a melee glass cannon that emphasizes dodging, counterattacks, and outmaneuvering the opponent in order to strike at weak points quickly and accurately. It's not an assassin or thief, because it isn't big on stealth, it's not a traditional tank, and its movements are generally more refined than the average warrior. If I had to give it a name, I'd think "Duelist" suits it well. My problem was that I couldn't think of a way to display the class' characteristics in a way that would be competitive with what was already submitted.

Anyway, after a quick glance-through, the entries that caught my eye as vote-worthy are:
Rkar by NeclordX
Sabine by Pocky-Yoshi
Sister Janet by Samaras_Madness
Magdellena by Matty82
Zarovian by Gatsu
Scathen by Idoll

This is kind of tough, because there's something remarkable about almost every entry, not just the above. However, I vote for Matty82's Magdellena. The basics are all solidly placed: part choice, coloring and patterning, sticker use, special equipment use. The character's intended theme is clearly displayed; no information other than a picture of the design itself is needed to come to the conclusion that she is a mage. Of course, I can't fail to mention how incredibly genius that special equipment staff is.

I wish every contest could have entries this high in quality. Great job to everyone who entered.
 
Great, great challenge. I'll not wall of text it due to my laptop being on the brink of death but everyone did a really great job here.

My vote goes to Matty82. It was tight though. Samaras' nun, Brucege's witchdoctor, Gatsu's summoner, Idoll's venomancer and d_b's Khato all stood out for one reason or another from the sea of already great entries. This sort of challenge is really great for bringing out the creativity in people and it was brilliant to see.

Superb stuff, all round.
 
Ack, just realized what day it was, and just in time (also, my alerts don't seem to be working right, is it just me?). Such a tough call, I can see that everyone put a lot of love into their characters and I know how much unnoticed detail work & manipulation goes into one's creation. Good job to everyone.

That said, YoshairoIII's Kade the Mage gets my vote. The combination of an amazing design (including the use of props), story, and supplemental images (demon possessed Kade is almost better that normal Kade) hit the sweet spot for me. He felt like a real character, more than just a CAS (he wasn't the only one that gave that vibe however).

Again, very tough to decide, good entries all.

As I've went through and seen a plethora of brilliant designs, it was almost clear from the start that it would be Neclord's of whom I would prefer. Not only did he create a solid design, but he made his character a completely different species! All this on top of a magically crafted ability list. This sounds like a character that a game design company needs to get ahold of as this is just genius. (And trust me, I play a LOT of RPG's ^^) Not only this but your discard pile was still equally impressive! So bra-fucking-vo my good man.​
