I think theres truth in that. But I have had matches (all though I can count on one hand) where I notice a little lag, but the guy on the other end claims horrible lag. Im not sure that "lag" (even when there is some) is exactly the same on both ends all the time. For the most part I think it is. But there are weird times prolly like the one you are explaining
 
This game is run peer to peer; no server in the middle. All fighters run that way. So two players in the same match should feel the same lag. I don't know what kind of network architecture or netcode architecture would cause differences though. And I'd be glad to hear about it.

Should be that way but it isn't. I've played against friends and I've had little lag while the other person is getting 1second delays. I've had it the other way around too.
 
I remember being kicked from a room cuz some guy got angry that I did B!E!~4B about every time I could get (he kept eating the launcher) and then I get a very long message of me being a "scrub, no life,......)and the list goes on, it was a while ago I wish i kept the message but it was a damn long list xD

I was in the 8WR lobby and beat MOLDAIVER's Ivy with Rugi. I then lose to the next guy and he sends me this. =(

The few times I DID manage to play this game online, they were screaming at me with the microphone @ the top of their lungs. Yeaahhh... didn't enjoy that.

WHO THE FUCK'S BRILLIANT IDEA WAS IT TO FORCE PEOPLE TO LISTEN TO MICROPHONE RAGE EVEN WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE A MICROPHONE? I mean wtf? I don't wanna hear that shit and I SURE as hell ain't got nothin' to say to them! Why do I have to mute the fucking TV?

They basically called me a low whore, grab whore, lag spammer, and fuck every other word and more meaningless blah blah.

I didn't even respond. What's the point? I just left.
