Hehe thanks, it was a bit hard, because this shirt, guess is the first time I used it.I like the way you put a lot of theme into your characters. With Terom, I see you are trying some things involving adding extra detail.
Thanks for the comment.
Terom was mostly about coloring right, adding balance to it was really important, since there weren't many ways to make he jump out. So yes, like you observed I tried to keep the shirt shaped with other things.Terom: The frilled shirt, sash, and long boots with the dark color scheme really fit his aristocratic/vampy background. I'm especially impressed with how you used that lumpy frilled shirt by shaping it with pocket stickers and pointed shoulder armor. It's not an easy piece to use, but you nailed it. The color balancing is also good. The somber black and red is punctuated by flashes of white and orange. A very Byronic look. Perfect for a Gravekeeper.
The thing about the headgear, I was actually trying to emulate a veil, so I tried to keep everything as much as close as possible, to look like as a whole , this is why I favored the Fairy Curls, because the small locks would serve as a breaker to the stillness of the bow+flower.Arcana: Hmm....well it's a good start, but it could use some work. I'm really diggin' that mini pork pie hat, but I think that the bow and flower, which are both very close in size to the hat, kinda clutter up the hair. I'd save those SpecEq slots to decorate the arms or even the hat. Her colors are balanced well though, with black/red on the torso and white on the head and legs with orange highlights. I'd also prefer if you took the fishnet pattern the whole way up so that the legs keep a continuous flow. Cute design, but I think you could shuffle some things around here or there. I wonder if there's any way to play up the songstress angle. Maybe headphones or mike? That might be too frivolous. Maybe sheet music as scrolls or as those talisman SpecEq. Anyways, some ideas to look into. It's also somewhat unexpected that a songstress has sunglasses. Maybe she's a celebrity hiding from her fans.
You know, I thought about making the whole thing with fishnet, but I tried to rescue a little of Setsuka stocking back in SC IV.
The whole idea was to make her a person in eternal mourning, the adept sleeves didn't worked and I wanted her to be as much modest as possible, so the long gloves allowed me to make a little bit of an Opera Singer feeling. Also do remember, she spend a lot of time in graveyards, so anything too flashy would offend the people mourning. ;)
The "sunglasses" are because she is a Diva, lol, no really: I forgot to add that Meiquers, that is a anagram on the word Requiem, (Which is actually a real kind of funerary music.) have those yellowish eyes, even so she is hiding from her brother, so I guess there is that. Both names have meaning, Arcana Requiem, may mean Magic Song of Mourning, while Terom is death in Portuguese backwards,
Actually I thought about this, the first incarnation had Arcana wearing green\pink\black and Terom purple\black\golden and not this aristocratic vest at all, it was a heavy armor.Other stuff: It's fun to see how the siblings mirror each other in color schemes and overall gothic appearance. However, I think it'd be a cool idea to differentiate the two some more, since Terom's a cold-hearted prince while Arcana's a good-natured yet conflicted outcast. Let me know what you think!
But making both opposites seemed a bit overused, so I decided in to keep both in the same line.
As always your review is very much appreciated , thank you very much.
Also, I am thinking in making at least more two characters for this story, so keep it posted haha.
EDIT: Terom is actually an anagram of "morte"
