Well, SC5 sales in Japan are down 60% from SC4's over the same timeframe.
It's not my primary reason (or reason period), but I understand that it is for many folks , especially SC fans who tend to be more SP oriented then say Marvel fans. I'm just stating this is why a Super SCV is not a given.
That enough people won't buy it and kill the series. Sales for SC in Japan have been terrible, and I don't know if they've been all that hot over here. It's 2012, not 2002- you actually have good fighters to compete with, so a game that isn't really making the standard is going to get left...
That shortcut , would it work in landing fastest input version of his command grabs? Does anyone have any advice on landing those? I never bothered with Wolf from VF, so I have no experience with this.
The only things I am certain of right is Natsu's damage output is too damn high for how fast and safe she is, and Raph needs some fundamental buffs. Tira may need some good-sized buffs also.
What I want is pretty simple, and I'm willing to pay for it.
Characters, specifically Talim, Zalsalamel, Bangoo, and a new Korean.
Costume Parts that are interesting.
If JG becomes easy to pull off- Daigo/Justin moments become possible, and I saw one of those done in a local tournament a few years afterwards.
whether this stuff becomes a huge skill gate or not is going to come down to one thing- are lows and throws viable threats in this game. I really...
Even if DJ is banned, some folks will use him online. Those folks might discover some stuff. Not every online warrior is a terrible player.
That said, it's unrealistic to expect that DJ will bring in new folks who will stick around. People play games competitively for the game, not so much the...
I think that MAJOR/MINOR split thing is a pretty damn good idea.
I think it will fail in practice. Folks won't use DJ because he is banned in majors, so if he's legal in minors, he'll effectively be softbanned there.
Personally, I'd rather see a blanket ban.
SC5 is a lock to be in .
Prediction: 6 games.
SF vs TK - which may end up being hilarious for anti-hype
AE
UMVC3
SC5
KOFXIII
I think Skullgirls will make it as a 6th game, if there's 5, it won't.
MK is dying out, Tekken will wait a year for Tag 2, Blazblue won't do well.
Ultimately, the pro leagues are going to do what's best for them, just like how EVO is going to do what's best for the Capcom community.
If you want your scene to grow, you ultimately have to do what it best for its community, which may not always be obvious.
My idea would be to partner...
I honestly don't see how what Jaxel said would alienate anyone outside of folks who think the only fighting games should be Capcom fighters, and quite honestly, those people are going to be alienated by non-Capcom games no matter what.
It is a fact that the Cannons/EVO hold a ton of power in...
On Tekken 6, how many fighters these days last multiple years anyways without some sort of sequel/update?
Tekken 6 just got old, that's what hurt it. MLG also messed with the format in a way that turned people off, which didn't help. (They gave incentives to cherry-pick your opponent)
I was in the VF5 community at the time. The response was positive, the problem was the community was so damn small that it didn't matter.
As for MK9, it did well at Evo, but died afterwards, KOF has taken over MK9's spot here. SC4 has proven that folks still show up for it- look at NEC...
I think you're going to see a split here in opinions between the folks who have SC as their primary game (or are Capcom haters) , and folks who are Capcom fans first. One group will be heavily for this, the other against it.
Neither opinion in wrong, but I think Malice's idea is best for any...
