I'm not sure if this would be the appropriate place to ask this, but I'm wondering if any Yoshi players have a preference on a wired controller they like to use? Clearly I'm asking in regards to tournament purposes. I've tried using a dualshock2 for quite sometime but it seems button input is sometimes a little off due to button sensitivity aka fail iMcf/Parting Thrusts sporadically. (Hopefully I'm making sense here). Has anyone used any other types on controllers? Nyko(http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/616KVIH6qdL._AA1024_.jpg) ? Madcatz(http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41khmUU-KBL._SS400_.jpg) ? I've tried arcade sticks, they just don't work for me sadly.. I've also tried the fighting pads the idea of 6+ face buttons causes a bunch of mistakes on my end. I guess overall I am looking for a controller with very light button sensitivity.. Anyone have any advice, or feedback if you have any of these controllers?
I just use the regular DualShock3, and I get ear slicer 90% of the time, still working on iMCF though haha.
I use a PS2 > Ps3 converter and an old school pre-Dualshock PS1 controller. This is usually my go-to for fighting games I play on pad (very few) and I just got around to swapping to it after my PS3 controller broke.
I have a madcatz fightpad (http://store.gameshark.com/viewItem.asp?idProduct=5322&idCategory=443)... the buttons are really nice. It takes a bit of getting used to the button layout if you've been playing with something with 4 shoulder buttons, but nowadays I basically never miss ear slicer and probably have about 90% iMCF.
