Possible stupid question

What is the taboo with using a D-pad over the Analog stick? I try to use the analog stick all the time, but I just can't seem to get the hang of it. Would you guys consider it necessary, or is it just personal preference? I do use it for certain things, like Cervates' DC, or things like that, but for 8-way run, I use the D-pad.

I think there are a lot of people who use d-pad over analog. You should just use what you are more comfortable with.

On pad, D-pad is usually the method of choice, analogue isn't really suited for fighters...but I know people who do use the analogue stick, but know that there's no right or wrong way to play...only YOUR way, if you don't wanna use D-Pad that's fine, you wanna use analogue stick, that's cool too

I prefer to use D-pad over the analog stick. But if you have to input a very fast combo (such as a critical edge) I use the analog stick. I guess it just depends on the situation.

Thanks everybody. Yeah I just thought it was a thing, idk. Everybody I play with are all amazing, and they all apparently use analog. Guess it's coincidence.

Yeah it's just preference. I play dpad but my friend plays analog and inputs aren't a problem.
