Namco keeps saying "2012"; but I guess that a real release date in near the corner... to me the perfect month for a release is last week of March 2012.
Why? because its the perfect month for the release of the game... xmass would be really good for sales but the game won't be making good sales against all the other games that will be release on holidays.
Another reason for me is EVO 2012; only if the game is released with enough time will be able to participate on EVO; 4 months is enough time to learn the game and be competitive even for new players, and with all the hype created by the new game if would be perfect to include this game on EVO. Include this game on EVO and the game will sell more and more, more advertising for the game and more people from other games watching the streaming will be good for Namco profits balance.
To me as far as I know this SCV will be the best SC ever since the glorious times of SC1 for DC and his big sales success... Namco is investing a lot in this game, and is investing a lot in advertising too so I guess with no Namco games for console on big tournaments... but this is only a guess maybe we can study the release dates for the other games before to find a pattern:
