[10] Knight
While SCV doesn't have any fights that have the "Destined Battle" designation, I've noticed that when one goes through Arcade mode with the Standard route, the first four opponents will be random, but the fifth opponent is always the same, and this fight is the most likely to feature unique dialogue for pre-fight exchanges and wins/loses. The final opponent is always Nightmare, even for Nightmare. So, here's a list of each character's fifth opponent:
(Player Character-CPU Character)
α Patroklos - Pyrrah Ω
Aeon - Pyrrah
Algol - Mitsurugi
Astaroth - Maxi
Cervantes - Ivy
Dampierre - Hilde
Edge Master - Kilik
Elysium - α Patroklos
Ezio - Mitsurugi
Hilde - Siegfried
Ivy - Cervantes
Kilik - Xiba
Leixia - Natsu
Maxi - Astaroth
Mitsurugi - Patroklos
Natsu - Leixia
Nightmare - Zwei
Patroklos - Pyrrha
Pyrrha - Tira
Pyrrha Ω - α Patroklos
Raphael - Viola
Siegfried - Hilde
Tira - Pyrrha
Viola - Zwei
Voldo - Raphael
Xiba - Maxi
Yoshimitsu - Natsu
Zwei - Patroklos
Created Characters - Aeon
For those keeping score at home, the cast hates Pyrrha the most, with three characters wishing to cause her harm.
Some of these match-ups make sense, some are one-sided, and others are seemingly random. I'm guessing that some of these fights are intended to go along with the 3/4 of the story that was cut.
Anyone have any thoughts, theories, or wild guesses about these "destined battles"?
