[Dec 3, 2011] North East Championships XII (Philadelphia, PA)

One week to go. Get yo shit together and bring yo asses. Trust me, you don't want to miss this one.

Malice lies.. just so you know... but for real.. people who have a chance, should really roll to this. Take my word, and not Malices...

Okay guys... it looks like I've got a pretty packed weekend for streaming... this is what the preliminary schedule is looking like (this is the stream schedule, not the tournament schedule). This schedule is subject to change, and possibly get delayed.

SATURDAY:
12pm: Soulcalibur V
2pm: Tekken 6
4pm: Soulcalibur IV Singles
5pm: Tekken Tag 2 Singles
7pm: Soulcalibur IV Singles
9pm: Soulcalibur V Exhibition
12am: stream officially ends... however, I will run an after-hours stream in whatever room I end up crashing.

SUNDAY
1pm: Tekken 6 top 4
2pm: Soulcalibur IV top 4
3pm: King of Fighters XIII top 4
4pm: Tekken Tag 2 top 4
5pm: Soulcalibur IV/V Exhibition
10pm: Stream Ends

Throughout both days, Namco-Bandai, with Daishi-san, Utoh-san and FilthieRich will doing some extra "stuff".

You guys may notice that there are no TEAM tournaments listed on the stream for Saturday; I simply don't have the time to be streaming those tournaments. That doesn't mean we wont have a team tournament for SC4, simply that if we do have one, it will not be streamed. Considering this, do you guys still want a team tournament? This is the 3v3 team tournament we are talking about. The team tournament takes a long time, and I'm sure you guys would rather be playing Soulcalibur 5.

The 6v6 team tournament will still happen if you guys can put the teams together. It will take place on Sunday during the very large Soulcalibur IV/V Exhibition block I have marked out. In addition, if we have any noteworthy money matches for the weekend (I'm talking $50 and up), they will be streamed during this same Exhibition block. As well, Odashima-san has expressed interest in TAKING TOP TIER CHALLENGERS versus himself during this Exhibition block.

You'll need to change the time you have blocked off for the 6 on 6 since it conflicts with when France has to leave to catch their return flight.

Exactly.
And I'm pretty sure all Fr players are also interrested by the Daishi challenge.

It's great to see that you have a tentative schedule for the streams, but if it's all possible (and I know that may be difficult as you may be unsure of specific details yourself), could you list a schedule or format for SC5? That is, when does open play begin for SC5--how many set-ups will be available--how long will players have to play (a number of minutes or a number of matches?)--who takes part in "exhibition" matches? Will there be access to SC5 "after hours"? While I can't speak for everyone else, I would like to play SC5 more than I want to play SC4, and I'm sure I am not the only person who probably feels this way. Thanks for the head's-up, and thanks in advance...

Wow very interesting stuff. I think most people there plan on playing SC5 more than SC4, I hope we can keep a good rotation going.

Is Odashima going to hand pick challengers based how well people are doing on the demo? Or based on their previous SC4 track records?

very excited regardless.

I'd come just to play Daishi. Guys Travelling halfway around the World. Talk about dedication to the Community. MADD LOVE FOR THIS MAN!!!

Exactly.

Daishi Top Player Challenges will be taking place on both Saturday and Sunday night, so the French will get their chance...

If we don't do the 3v3 Team Tournament, that means the SC4 Singles Tournament will be over a lot sooner, and we can do the French VS USA 6v6 on Saturday night.

So the converter I bought just for this just broke, trying to borrow a PS3 stick from Buffalo now lol. For the future, what converters are people using? Got an HDE one posted on SRK, and it shit out in less than a week.

According to Namco, they are trying to bring FOUR setups. There will be no SC5 after-hours.

What's the point of challenging people in a game they've literally never played before? If he wins it looks stupid, if he loses it still looks stupid. Lose-lose.

Whats the point of complaining for no reason? Besides, you'll be playing SC5 all weekend.
