iCS/CS and SS information

What are the good move to buffer CS ?

I was trying to use 1B BE .. CS, 6B+K .. CS.

Do you have others ?

t

the input is the same as command list

Hmm, doesn't seem as fast as I thought it would be in terms of the whole input. There's probably something that the game is particularly strict on to get iCS.

There's a bunch. BB, 2A, 6K, A+BA (fully bufferable within the move), 1A (+0 on NH and CH). Buffer windows are generally more generous this time around.

I have been at this shortcut method for about 15 minutes and I can say it works far far better than i expected. The buffer window seems appropriate again. I have been able to buffer into a few moves already.

I am on the fence about the d-pad the analog seems to be easier to get a clean two circles out of, yet the 666 at the end is a nightmare compared to the d-pad. I will have to try when I get an arcade stick.
I agree completely that the 666 at the end of the move is the annoying part.

edit= Thank you for the great find on the shortcut!

the more I practice, the more I actually LIKE the new CS commands
flick 2828[7]66[6]6+B+G (extra directions in brackets)
works quite well.
If you're unsure you can even do 2828[28]746666B+G and still get iCS !!!
I dont like the two circle shortcut, you can't reliably get iCS using that.

as for moves for CS, any move that starts with 2 really helps
like 2B, 2A,2K as you can just go directly into 828746666B+G

Ivy's BB is also really good since it's so fast and strong in this game, most people will block after getting hit with BB, free iCS

A+B,A is godly for iCS

I am currently trying to get 9B to work for iCS....90% of everyone who gets hit by 9B will block on reaction.
However this move has a very VERY small buffer window.

2 360's then 666 apparently is the shortcut. You'll get it with practice.

ive managed to get it a few times tonight buffering it from A+B A seems the easiest way so far and also taunting helps.

circle method doesnt seem to work for me.. :(

Ok pad players, easiest way to do it with shortcuts:

hold :(2): with analog stick then with d-pad do :8::8: (release analog stick before second 8 motion) and do the rest 4666B+G with d-pad
So basically it means you are making just a :8::8::4::6::6::(6): input with d-pad and those 22 needs 0 work and time because you just holding :(2):with your other thumb.

Of course you can change this method a little and hold :(8): with your analog and :2::2: with your d-pad so it will be just :2::2::4::6::6::(6): with is also much easier and faster then normal input.

iCS are really doable with this method and you have clear motion with ivy that will not sidestep, just move in one place because of this first:(2): analog input.

If you have problems with your 666 on d-pad just learn to do all CS motion by your middle bone (fuck i don't know how to call it, middle part? xD) of your thumb. The movement on this part is always faster and shorter then on the pulp of your thumb, with means input will be few frames faster.

Stick players, sorry no real short cuts for us xD

Shortcut works at times. Still split on which is better d-pad or analog. BUT I do know that it seems the most important input in the series is the 4,6 part...mostly hitting the 4 cleanly. Through my experience anyway using the 360 shortcut or just direct input.

And does anyone notice in the practice demo the CPU goes into a block animation before iCS? Strange...

Probably they didn't want to make ivy to sidestep. But they just could use the holding down method i just wrote and she would hold still in one place.
Weird is that on regular CS she just run forward and there is no actual input for 2828. It's namco, who knows if they record input or just animation.

As for 4666 motion d-pad is better.
Actually with some practice and proper technique, very fast 666 on d-pad is easier then making it with the same speed on arcade stick. Shorter way from 6 to neutral and less work needed, so it cant be harder if you sit on it. Analog stick is out of the contest here.

WOW...just met a guy named Kinetic Clash (don't know if he posts here or not) in ranked...CS'ed me 4 times and buffered them all out of A+B, A...wth

Still can't get iCS for the life of me. Either I really have bad dexterity (which is entirely possible) or there's a trick to getting it aside from inputting it hella fast.

It's impossible. FUCK IVY. I'm gonna use pyrrha instead ivy is just screwed up.
