Can I kill you now...please?? Tira! :D SCV

I've been fighting some seriously stupid Pyrrha's, Natsu's and Algol's. This has only increased my hate for JS. I'll be getting completely destroyed in Gloomy, then having to go Jolly at 40% is incredibly frustrating.
9B+K goddammit. if someone is spamming they 100% don't know about the facing away B+K and there you have it. win. 9B+K is one of her best tools against short range characters. also punish them with GS 3A A BE and then go 44B or 66B. don't try to play fair against people who play cheap.

btw does anyone know if 9B+K K stuns when it hits the feet like in SC4? i didn't have time to try it out yet, but that would be pretty cool since tira has only like one stun in JS and two in GS -_-

She has at least two stuns in Jolly actually. 22A and WRB.
yeah, I was talking about 22A. what's wrb? sorry being stupid here lol but it's not that useful of a stun, you can't really salvage it, pretty much the only option after that is b+k b

9B+K K stuns if it hits on low like in sc4

i've seen 3K stun on occassion, i have no idea when it stuns and when it doesn't though

WRB may not be the most versatile stun, but it's hardly useless. Updraft, B/Updraft, A (for possible mood change) are actually pretty good, especially since you're usually left in a backturned state for her BT B+K, which is one of her best moves.

Yeah, at the right distance, UD K still has the stun, however JO 11B can be teched.
The best thing to do there would be a 66B BE/666B BE.

Jolly stuns:
4A-A.A/K/4K/CE on hit.
22A-A.A/k/4K/CE on hit.
WR B- not much of a typical stun, but.. 1B/2B/2K/3B/66B BE/CE/etc. on hit.

Gloomy Stuns:
22A-A.A/3A.A(BE)/K/4K/CE on hit.
WR B-not much of a typical stun, but... 1B/2B/1K/2K/3B/66B BE/CE/etc. on hit.
The only Gloomy-exclusive stun I could find is 4B.B, but that's not much of a stun.

i find it rather difficult to win against xiba and nightmare, especially the former since his range is huge and he tosses me around the stage like it's nothing. if i get out of their range i cant really do anything, if i manage to get close to them i immediately get my ass whoopped. any tips?

^I'm also struggling with this, but not just that. People are not only sidestepping, but they also go backwards after every hit. I always tried to do 66K, but it never catches, which leaves pretty much the only option to be 2A+B or updraft.

thankfully, bifrost is really pretty in this game imo and you can change the color of the glass parts
Bifrost.png

for some reason i cant edit, delete my posts or post anything on here on my computer, something really wierd has happened so im posting from college, what i wanted to say was that i prefer her old bifrost, more colourful,3 colours on that wont be enough for me to edit! :) and i think i love all her new weapons,i actually like that sea monster one

unfortunatly i discovered that JS 44B can be rolled as well as GS 3B so there not as good for force blocks as i first thought, but still amazing you only need 3 hits form JS 44B i think and there guard will break, plus because of the new systems you cant really do much about the force blocks

3B is effective after things like GS 22/88B as ace demonstrated yesterday, very scary and puts pressure on you,the only thing you can really do is GI,but until you have meter you cant, plus i sdont think just guard is something people are going to grasp just yet,ive only done 1 so far, sometimes i got hit before my guard broke due to the pressure of it and got combod because of it,with his 3B,4A,CE! aah crazy dmg! :) in the air her CE doesnt work properly but it you dont use 4K and just do it after 4A it tends to work

yes it stuns like that still and aslong as they ukemi you can still do JS 11B after it but the launch is not very high now so you have to be quick with inputting BT B+K,B or B+K if you change moods with it because JS 11B CH can make you change moods if the launch works,
sorry for double post, if i dont post on here in awhile its because of the wierd fault on my 8wayrun on my computer, but ill keep trying to find stuff for you guys

funny thing is, i have no difficulties whatsoever with winning against xiba with viola XD

btw about the CE, i noticed that Tira does the full animation only when it's interrupting an enemy attack, if the enemy is on the floor she does the shorter version and i also had some instances when she did the shorter one after JS 22A stun :/ is this correct? when does it do the full animation?

She'll do the full animation as long as they're not lying on the ground, this includes sitting on their arse stunned :P Catch them mid-air and you'll get the full version, easiest way I've found is GS 3B, 4A, CE.

BTW am I the only one who's bummed that she no longer says "Can I kill you, please?" Seem to be half as many of those intro and winning quotes than in SC4 :(

ok guys, JS is better than before but due to things been removed we are now very limited in it so you guys were right in saying try to be in GS as much as possible, but the new JS has very good oppurtunities for mood switching combos and has some nice things you can do after KND especially because of JS 66B now hitting grounded and the old GS 33B now in there

( JS)
66B is guaranteed after 3B and 66B NH however with 3B it is very tough to time right so it will still hit if they ukemi, its better to instead use 4A,4K or just 4A then use tech traps or force blocks

  • if you use 4A after 3B/66B then 66B will also work but only if opponent doesnt ukemi,
  • if they do ukemi then you can also use 44B for a forced block that rapes the soul gauge
  • or use 1A which isnt guarantted but will probably work as long they dont expect a low tech trap from you too much
mix around with these traps instead of just using 4K after all the time and youll either destroy there gauge through force blocks or catch them with an extra combo because they dont want to ukemi because of your tech traps

you can also use 44B for force block on 236K,3K and if they are near the edge 4B+K too, same with tech traps but the range can make you miss 66B after 3K and 4B+K

GS is now the opposite of what JS used to be with traps because GS 3B can no longer be used to trap ukeming opponents it seems but it is a force block or they get hit on the ground,so if you want to trap in GS you can only use 1A it seems but to punish opponents that think its safe to stay grounded use 22/88B ofcourse, if the opponen starts ukeming and succesfully blocking your 1A trap then theres not much you can do besides forcing them to block 3B which does heavy guage damage but not as much as JS 33B

im not too sure on these things yet and dont know if these force blocks are safe, you could probably force block with GS 44B but its slower and probably doesnt do much guage dmg or as much but 3B usually has to be delayed for a force block or it will just hit them grounded

same things can be done after 1A/1K too

edit:it defintly seems that GS 3B cant be used for tech traps now since people can roll out of it after KND but can still be used for a force block but you have to be careful they dont roll to the side of it,so JS is the one for tech traps and force blocks since you only really have 1A for traps in GS or 22/88B for people that dont ukemi

Couldn't you 3B, 4A CE off that instead of just doing it flat out? Or does it scale too roughly?
I actually never use her CE in a stun combo because of the scale damage. I'll have to test that..
After GL BT B+K, I always do 3B 4A 4K 666B or 3B 66K, which leads to more BT mindgames.

really? that's kinda awesome, i'm always scared to use the CE since it might end up being the shorter attack and BE is more valuable then.
CE is full after BT B+K and 3B 4A. I only use it after 3B 4A, but whatever floats your boat. :b
