If you give Aeon Afterglow of Obsession, it turns his wings black.
Sand Winger is mostly a disappointment, though.
The Brave Edge only serves to punish those who would just block SW K, but can't do anything about sidesteppers.
And cancelling it makes him reposition himself, but that never seems to be useful.
I kind of wish he could ape on Devil Jin's style and have the attack throw.

Or just land on the opponent with his big feet and bounce backwards like a BAUS! haha
 
Just did some testing on his 4B+K and the frame data on it fluctates quite a bit depending on the range it hits on. The data in the frame data thread seems to be from a point blank hit ( GRD -10, NH +4 ). From testing I think I've got +6 additional frame at most (totals at GRD -4, NH +10).

Scenario is:
Aeon vs Natsu
1- Aeon does 4B+K, B (B is i20)
2- Natsu eats 4B+K and tries to interupt the B with an A ( i10 )
3- Aeons B and Natsus A trades

Please correct me if I'm wrong on this, it's very possible.
 
In fact, instead of something like Devil Jin's attack throw, he probably could have just have a stance throw.
Something you could do when you land 66B

Basically Sand Winger is less interesting than Lizard Crawl.
 
Aeon seems pretty solid. I messed around with when the game first came out, but then I jumped around trying to find a playstyle I liked and I think Aeon fits that perfectly.

My strategy right now is to lock the opponent down with 66A, to set-up a throw/mid game. And I abuse throws like they are going out of style.

My question is, Is Aeon the best suited character for this particular style of game, or would I be better off moving on to Asteroth who I haven't even touched yet. I'm aware that Aeon is decidedly mid tier, but that is not important to me, what is important is if he can be useful and another character doesn't do what I am wanting to do better.

It was some player in Australia and I don't know the turnout for it but he only used Aeon and Aeon only. His name was M.Lizard but he got bodied by Tokoido.

Seriously though, I saw those matches live and the moment the tournament ended I spent 4 straight hours in practice mode/ranked matches lol. There's nothing more inspiring than being a low tier hero and seeing someone make top 3 with your character.

Those matches pretty definitively proved to me that I need to stop using BBB. I'm such a fraud XD
 
I don't feel aeon is low tier :/ I really don't maybe a high mid but I don't know much of aeon tho
