In light of the flub at Gamescom and Kayane's new interview, Cervantes and the new guy seen the most likely candidates to be next. Then Hwang and Lizardman could be next, and save Raphael for last. Seems logical to me.
 
Still what does everyone here think of the lack of Yun and Raph hairstyles shown in the hair selection while we see Rock's and older hairstyles of Cervantes, Mitsurugi, and Kilik yet an odd lack of Siegfried's short hair? And also the presence of Setsuka's Updo and Cassie's IV 2P hair?
 
I don't think we should take anything we've seen CaS-wise as final, seeing as how it's pretty likely that not everything will have been unlocked in the footage we've seen. I think Okubo is being cheeky, and that we will have 1p/2p outfits and almost all pieces from both SoulCalibur IV and SoulCalibur V included. The teases of some things yet not others are just playing with our emotions.
 
We have two or three slots reserved for Cervantes, Not Jafar, and possiby Aeon and Inferno. 1-4 slots taken.

Unless Talim and Mi-Na are opposed to each other, there's also a Korean swordie. 5 slots. I've stated how I felt about the absence of Raphael and Yun-seong hair... That could be our sixth slot.

We're doubting Cassie and Setsuka, but we've seen their hairstyles on customs. They're probably not likely in the base roster.

Rock, Lizardman(Sword & Shield), Hwang & Raphael are going to be in SCVI .

 
While I think Tira is going to be part of the character selection we currently have (similar to Dampierre and Eliza (tekken)). I do not believe the other DLC characters are any of those slots because they can't afford to make a mistake of V's magnitude again.

With the reveal of lizardman as a create-a-soul race chances are high Aeon will not be in the game. If Aeon is not in the game it is also unlikely that Rock will be in the game. I fully expect that project soul saw a chance to troll people by throwing in the Rock hair for that particular trailer to keep the speculation of the remaining roster going. While I wouldn't be disappointed if any of these characters make it on the base roster I'm finding it less likely.

Yes I also think this. I can't imagine why else they'd single her out as DAY 1 DLC and BONUS CHARACTER WITH THE SEASON PASS as opposed to just calling her DLC and being done with it. My guess is she'll be a slot on the base roster, then the other three proper DLC characters advertised as such will be in the extensions or the middle slot.
 
I'm gonna say those four are the last and likely candidates for reveal : Cervantes, Wizard Guy, Female newcomer and wildcard between Raphael/Hwang/Yunseong/Cassandra/Setsuka
 
What if Freyhua is acutally the mastermind behind Verge? Going off a Gamefaqs post...

Their legs are in a different position. Maybe Aeon, Cervantes, and Maybe!Azwel are next then.

Also keep in mind Siegfried and Mi-Na who were revealed after their replacements... well alter ego for the former... have more mundane styles than the demon horse and Necalli transformation. Aeon has no reason to conjure lightning and Hwang/Yun-seong wouldn't summon a whirlpool and do magical girl peace signs. Astaroth's CE is also pretty normal like something Rock could also do if he wanted to.

I'm sorry for believing Hayate's latest video. It makes sense when Tira became DLC. I think Rock might be in by reading some of Astaroth bio on being based on the "White Giant"(Rock), I think Hwang might be in because of Seong Mi-na's bio about a Korean coast guard(Hwang), & Lizardman(Sword & Shield) because of the story trailer & I know that Lizardman had Sophitia's style because in SCIII/IV his Axe & Shield was in the opposite hands. As for Raph, I feel like the forest is his stage because he had a simiiar stage in SCV, his name length, & bio checks out.
 
Now that you mention stages here's who I'm thinking we can assume are in going off of that:

Eurydice: Obviously Sophitia, Rock? (I think it's referred to as a colliseum where he tends to fight)
Snow-Capped Showdown: Mitsurugi, Taki, Groh? (The flute sounds Japanese to me)
Ornstreinsburg: Siegfried, Nightmare
Kaer Morhen: Geralt, Mitsurugi? (They've got a little bromance going on or something)
Master Swordsman's Cave: Obviously Kilik, Xianghua?, Mi-Na (almost none of her stages make any freaking sense but this one kind of does)
Indian Port: Maxi, Cervantes
Field: Talim, Xianghua?
Desert: Korean Swordsman?, Zasalamel?
Cursed Woods: Ivy?, Voldo?
Kunpateku: Obviously Astaroth, Aeon?
Chaos: Inferno?, Azwel?

Characters could have more than one preferred stage I guess like in II...

Yes but they also mention that Asteroth is basically an exact duplicate of the "White Giant" and doesn't care that he is. Which means they basically share the exact same moves. Which means even if Rock is in the game it's as a side character using the same style as Asteroth and not a taking up a slot in his own right. He's not gonna be in the game using a different weapon than Asteroth. They pretty much spell it all out.

This is just my opinion though.
