Because it would have been an actual twist. Of course, now we have confirmation of Tengboobs, so I can now hype up our new masked monster-girl... assuming the wings aren't for show.

As for the Eliot/trap thing, I think it was unintentional. TN wanted the young prodigy type, but the art style made him look too pretty. I picked the series up at 5, so I only saw the old Eliot after the new Eliot.
 
Hey if you guys noticed on the second pic I posted, the masked tenge woman is in a pose very similar to Ayane's don't make me laugh win pose.

So, commence speculation.
 
so if you fold your arms that immediately means you're copying ayane? nah, that pose has been around for much longer than her. the woman has a mole, so that means she's a new character. she has the same wings and fan as the original tengu as well. and it's hard to really tell what her hair color is because of the lighting. Looks either royal blue or purple. but i really rather not have this turn into a speculation thread. those only go badly. just wait and point out what you can actually see and not just guess on what the end product is.

Well that's not what I was implying, I just thought she might have similar personality to Ayane and that it could possibly apply to her fighting style.

Anyway, now that's she's revealed, I need to look up tengu names as I'm pretty sure no greater tengu was female... Although, Kurama is pretty gender neutral.

Edit: she looks way more interesting than Phase 4 by the way. I think I might like her more than Marie Rose. Hopefully her fighting style is interesting.

That kabuki tengu fighting style look so weird on a girl as light as her. I think I spotted a few new moves there too. But yeah, like Marie Rose and Phase 4, lots of animation re use. Oh well tengu fans should be happy.
 
Finally, my main is back! Different character model, but who cares? THE AGE OF TENGU IS NIGH.

Looking forward to Femgu at the end of the month.
 
She looks Gorgeous, even the comments and the Voice actress is/are awesome(kansai Dialect always welcome).Just like the Wordplay with her name and similiar Touhou Character.


So..Major update for DoA this month..hmm im sure we gonna get Phase-4 Finally =)
..so we now have Tengu...maybe an Oni next time or someone from the Spider Ninja clan..

Hey, hey, don't be hatin' on Phase-4 now, she's just trying to fit in with the other ladies =P.

I find it kinda cute. The other outfits just look like they're trying to meet quota (though she'll have almost twice as many outfits as Ein once she is released to console). She needs more hooded outfits preferably.

Because there was no way they could form a strong enough argument to their higher ups within TK. Understand that the parent company is stingy as hell and micromanages absolutely everything. If they think putting breasts on Tengu is going to make it sell more, then that's exactly what they will do.


Almost all DLC has been female oriented for this very reason.
 
FEMALE TENGU OR NOT!... I'm just happy the style is back!! Say hello to the flying neckbreaker grabs (which hopefully still do like half damage) =]
