Please forgive the below standard quality. 360 doesn't have the built in snap feature the PS3 has, so I had to use my phone to do this.

Here you go.
I believe you called her Sindanne on your personal gallery. I like the vivid red that you use as a primary color. Very eye-catching. The gold highlights on the pauldrons, shirt, skirt, and boots add both contrast and detail to the design. The boots look plain by comparison though, so consider swapping them out for some bump-mapped long boots,. Or maybe the Valkyrie DLC boots. Another thing I'd change is the color distribution. You notice that everything from the knees up is red while everything below is brown. You can break up that big block of red by simply turning that belt brown. You could also throw on a random belt/holster upper body equipment to carry the brown color up top (I do this way too often). Another option is coloring the sleeves some different color like white, which achieves color separation without over-complicating the color scheme. If you feelin' fancy, you could try bump mapping the sleeves by placing zipper stickers (which stretch out nicely) on the left and right sleeves. Don't know if it'll work, but it's worth a shot. The equipment you chose looks good. Especially the exposed belly from the jester top. You could try swapping the cloth bracers for Natsu's DLC gloves for a similar look with extra detailing. You also gotta find some way to spend those last two SpecEq slots. At the bare minimum, throw on on earrings. For my own creations, if I have nothing else to do with the SpecEq, I usually use the slots to add some hair extensions using horns, feathers, or crescent moons. Hell, if you have extra sticker slots, you can also extend hair with stuff like the golden bird sticker or ribbon sticker.

Is she supposed to be an original character or is she based off a WoW NPC? Kinda curious. Anyways, she's lookin' good. Just personalize the design a bit. Good luck.

It's clear as the Montana sky that Liberty's tryin' to be as 'Murrican as possible rather than sleek n' sexy. Thankfully though, your reviewer happens to be full, red-blooded (Asian) American, and your creation ain't half bad lookin' either. You done real good by the color balancing. Just the right level of matching. Like the ocean's endless blue to the all-seein' eyes of white Jesus (jk, who knows). Red and white primary colors. Blue on the epaulettes, pants, and belt. And of course, it's gotta be an Eagle. That cape's pretty epic too. And props on layering the patterns, square, and star. Once you start deckin' out yo threadz in a similar fashion, you'll be goin' pro. Fine weapon choice too. Chara name + Patroklos style = liberty and justice for all.

Now I ain't tryin' to be Big Brotha, but a couple things to remember. Having a single star's great, symbolizing one nation under God, but the flag's gotta have exactly 13 stripes, representing the 13 colonies that declared independence from Great Britain in 1777. In addition, the proper vertical display for the flag should have the blue square and stars in the upper left corner. I know you don't mean no disrespect, but if you goin' for the all-American look, there's thangs you just gotta do.

The fight ain't over yet, my friend. Keep on truckin', and the truth will come your way.

I appreciate the response but why are you acting like the entire United States is like Texas? I made this because I saw a bunch of Captain Americas online, so I decided to make a patriotic superhero of my own.

As for the blue square being on the top right, that's because I'm looking at it from a sideways angle which makes it look correct.

She's an original, but I made her related to Kaelthas Sunstrider through a very convoluted family tree. Let's say she is'nt very fond of "mr. perfect Sunstrider" as she knew him. most of my characters were made to see how possible was to make WOW races in SCV. Blood elves and Night elves look relatively well because the outfits can be made to look as if the belonged with some color changes and such. Draenei look decent as females mostly. the big problem with them tends to be the tails. and the heads look tiny on males.

Might as well post on of most original CaS here, Mintay: View attachment 42263 View attachment 42264 View attachment 42265
Welcome, Chris! Lovely little creation. The stripe pattern is soft and feminine. It flows well with the light, airy clothes, which suits the kawaii Egyptian theme. The gold necklace, waist-wrap, and sandals contribute detail, and the red jewels on the belt add a bit of contrast. Kinda cute how the hair braid pokes out from under the hood too. Definitely blacken the hair, brown the skin, and apply the Cleopatra makeup (turquoise/black preset) for more Egyptian feel. Also, you can tuck a pair of horns under the hood and apply a striped pattern to it to make a hair extension. Or you could also apply some black stickers on the head to approximate hair under the hood. Overall, it's a simple yet tasteful design. And I like how she looks totally stoned in that first picture lol.

Here at 8WR, we tend to favor overwrought, labor-intensive creations. This usually means layering with pocket stickers and other bump mapped stickers. I highly recommend you check out the Advanced CaS Techniques thread, which covers those stickers previously mentioned. Fastest way to get up to speed.

You could, for example, make a tube top for her by applying a large (blue) pocket sticker on the shirt to cover just the breasts. Then you could apply a reset horizontal zipper sticker on her skin to extend the shirt a bit. Just some ideas to play around with. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.

I made some improvements to Mintay. I made her skin browner and her hair slightly darker:
SOULCALIBUR Ⅴ_69.png

The browner complexion makes her tattoo stand out more:
SOULCALIBUR Ⅴ_67.png

I didn't want to give her black and turquoise for make up since I felt the colors stand out too much. So I went for the same colors on her tattoo. I don't want her wearing a lot of makeup. You can see how discreet her lipstick color is. I also used the horns to give her bangs.
SOULCALIBUR Ⅴ_70.png

I tried giving her a tube top, (Love the tutorials on CaSs btw!) but it looks like she's wearing body paint than a tube top.

It doesn't mesh will with the undergarments I already had for her before:
SOULCALIBUR Ⅴ_66.png

Even the default piece sticks out too much:
SOULCALIBUR Ⅴ_65.png

When I made her I wanted her to be more a cutesy/fanservicey character. I continued to work on her and to what you see now:

Her battle damaged look:

I really enjoy finding this forum and love all the input when making detailed creations. So I apologize if my CaSs look too simple or bland. Like I said before tutorials are very helpful. I'm using them to alter a friend's creation to make it look like she's being corrupted by Soul Edge.

Oh damn. I didn't even notice the tramp stamp. Awesome shit. And yeah. Clothing extension on skin works best with straight black (0,43,0) stickers. Lookin' good, man. Mind if I post my own version of Mintay? Like, a twin sister or something?

I'm surprised you haven't noticed it when you saw back before but okay. I don't mind if you make your own version of Mintay. You made me wish I found this forum earlier. Can't wait to see her.

Hmm...this one's a little harder for me to comment on since she's wearing so little. I see that the white flowers are sprouting out of her panties. I suppose it could be interpreted as a symbol of fertility, but I'm proly over-thinking it. The head ornaments are an interesting choice. They do look somewhat Egyptian, so they complement the toga. I don't see as much of a coherent message as I do for Mintay, but she certainly does fit the bill for fan service. If I might make a humble suggestion, perhaps you could try making some warrior/armored characters? Much more opportunity for details, layering, etc. Keep up the good work, mate!

P.S. ~ No PS3 for past couple days. Will work on Mintay edits soon.

Well I took Bruce's advice and made an armored warrior. Her name is Kara Zenkoz. I wanted to give her armor that wasn't big or bulky. BTW, I made her years ago, but I didn't prove on her until now.

I just would like some criticism for this creation.

Jun "Amenset" Takeda.

The inspiration for her came from a friend's creation from feudal Japan, Aki Takeda. Out of nowhere I made decided to give her a half sister who's half-Egyptian, half-Japanese on her father's side.

SOULCALIBUR Ⅴ_117.png

The nickname Amenset means, "Daughter of the sun". Makes sense Japan is called the Land of the Raising Sun. I got the first name Jun from the Japanese Model, Jun Natsukawa. I've heard rumors that she was bitch and used her good looks to get by. So I went with Japanese/Egyptian attire.

I diceided to give her a Cleopatra look with the make-up. I was uneasy about giving her all that make-up.

The makeup choice is character-appropriate. There's at least that.

Elsewhere, when I look at this design, I'm bored. There's not much to observe, take in, or ponder over. Nothing pops. An overwhelming majority of the design is uniform: white with paired gold stripes, just like the other Ancient Egyptian-themed design you posted earlier. Almost everything you could have colored is white and/or gold. Even the panties are white with gold stripes. I'm surprised the bra is grey. The pattern on the sleeves, though identical in type and color, is not consistent in size, so it looks off. There are no stickers on the clothes, where they can add detail or create interesting textures. Instead, they're under the clothes on the skin, where you can't see them, unless the clothes happen to break during a match. The earrings are the only special equipment used and they're used predictably. There are no combinations of special equipment with regular equipment or with other special equipment. I also have a sneaking suspicion all your colors are on saturation 9, much too bright for typical use. Overall, it's a very barebones design that could be a good starting point, but as it is, it needs much more thought to be put into it.

Creation mode is capable of more than this. You're capable of more than this. I see you're still relatively new, so you deserve time to study some techniques. Let me a suggest some that would help you improve this design:
- Lower the saturation on your colors where appropriate. Look at the colors on the regular characters as an example.
- Try to work in a third color, maybe four if it wouldn't take up too much space.
- Detail the clothes with stickers: borders, emblems, separate layered pieces, etc. Play with them, especially the shiny ones with bump-mapping. Make them really small, really big, only have part of them showing. Use the solid-colored stickers, blend them in color-wise with the clothes, and layer them over other stickers to "subtract" parts of those other stickers, if you need to. Since this design shows a lot of skin, you could even have the stickers on the skin just slightly peeking out from behind the clothes.
- For any surface you leave unpatterned, ask yourself if it would be better off with a soft, subtle pattern that adds a leather or cloth-like texture (best achieved with small size patterns with minimal color variation) or if you really want it to look completely smooth and flat, like metal or plastic.
