SC cannot function without a host that is worthy enough, meaning it needs said host to do a lot of the work. Therefore, you can't really take credit away from sieg for beating NM.

Pat could also defeat armies too. The opening scene in SCV shows him defeating a rebel group. Defeating a group of trained warriors is nothing knew to Kilik either.
