Xiba, Yoshimitsu, Cervantes and Aeon Confirmed!

Today, Famitsu announced four new characters for Soulcalibur V! While Yoshimitsu was "sort of" announced in the custom character trailer, there was never any real confirmation. As well, hints about Aeon Calcos comings from soundtrack leaks (the same way Raphael was discovered early). Aeon Calcos in case you don't know, is the original Lizardman!

In addition to the return of the immortal Cervantes, Namco has revealed a new staff user by the name of "Xiba". Xiba, a character clearly designed around the Monkey King from the Journey to the West story in Chinese Folklore. Several months back, Daishi stated on his twitter that Kilik was an "ill-fated" character. With the introduction of Xiba, it begs the question: "What happened to Kilik?"

It seems you guys were right about yoshimitsu, cervantes, and the possible kilik replacement lol
But I did want to see a human lizardman... It seems like they gave him a new style if they "axed" his shield and add angel wings

Not digging the color but I don't really care because mah pirate is BACK!

Anyway Sheba seems to be based on the legendary character Sun Wukong. I mean the tail looks like a cat tail moreso than a monkey but whatever. Oh and Aeon looks boss. I have hype.

 

They're just calling him Aeon now because 'Lizardbirdman' was too long.

Human Cervy = Win
Sheba = "the boy" at least is'nt a 12-13 years faggy, half win
Aeon = WTF meh

 

I couldn't be any happier with these reveals.

Un-Barney'd Cervy? Check.
Winged, firebreathing dragon character? Check.
Return to traditional samurai look with original badass mask Yoshi? Check.
Wild monkey king inspired staff user? Check.

I was BEGGING for a firebreathing, winged dragon instead of lame-ass Lizardman and they hooked him the fuck up instead? Project Soul is GDLK.

 

A new, evil Yoshimitsu? Awesome. The rest of the characters look great. Glad to see Cervantes and Kilik's replacement.

 

ChickenMan is what came to my mind first... Then with the fire... RoastedChickenMan... He's completely meh as said Gatsu...

I was kind of hoping Aeon would be human to be honest.
They gave Cervy huge pecs,open shirt, and a new body?
I'm actually disappointed by how Yoshi looks in 5.
The poor tiger that boy is wearing around his waist.
