Xiba, Yoshimitsu, Cervantes and Aeon Confirmed!

Today, Famitsu announced four new characters for Soulcalibur V! While Yoshimitsu was "sort of" announced in the custom character trailer, there was never any real confirmation. As well, hints about Aeon Calcos comings from soundtrack leaks (the same way Raphael was discovered early). Aeon Calcos in case you don't know, is the original Lizardman!

In addition to the return of the immortal Cervantes, Namco has revealed a new staff user by the name of "Xiba". Xiba, a character clearly designed around the Monkey King from the Journey to the West story in Chinese Folklore. Several months back, Daishi stated on his twitter that Kilik was an "ill-fated" character. With the introduction of Xiba, it begs the question: "What happened to Kilik?"

Sheba is Yun Seong's and Kilik's lovechild. I like it. I hope he has Yun's personality, so everyone hates him, (besides me ofcourse.)

Aeon has wings. Cool, I guess. I wonder if he'd fly at all. Would make for some hilarious looking CAS, especially coupled with the fire breathing.

Yoshimitsu looks ace and is donning the Kabuto helm from SCIV. The open mask is very cool.

Cervantes is now the sexiest male in the game.

The dual-mirror stage is Ivy's stage. It's her alchemy lab. That or Viola's..

No need for another raft stage. No need for another boat stage.

This is exciting. 8 Characters left. Its hard to say if son-son is a direct Kilik replacement (Natsu/Lex/Pyrrha), or fresh new character (Soph-->Cass, Raph-->Amy, Hwang-->Yun).

Lizzy looks Too Crazy. Thought he was the Boss Character at first. Cervy being un-undead is interesting. Yoshi is Yoshi.

Still waiting for Setsuka, Zas, Talim, only unique styles left. I'm thinking Zwei is a Pseudo-Yun replacement. Son-Son will probably have some of Kiliks and Minas moves. Bangoo might return, but may not cuz he's like a Clone.

Feels like at least 1 more Fresh new Character, alongside Fresh New Boss (or Maybe Abyss Returns!!)

 

Wow really Yoshifagsu and no Setsuka she at least is a fucking soul calibur character as such i will share a message. Daishi i say this with as much respect as i can muster plz go back to working on tekken cuz you've offically fucked up on soul calibur v. Cervantes is worthless, lizardman is shit, sheba is better than kilik, AND YOSHIMITSU IS A FUCKING TEKKEN CHARACTER SO YOU BOTH MAKE THE GAME SO FUCKING WHAT PUT HIM BACK IN TEKKEN WHERE HE FUCKING BELONGS SO HE CAN STOP RUINING SOUL CALIBUR.

Maybe the dumb hair colour,but nothing color edit can't fix
Counting how much "the boy" was potentially epic fail, if Sheba is the young one we can't ask for better
I will even accept a dumb Yun style attitude, on a char like Sheba it will fit with the whole monkey king style

Sheba? really? There are no words for how terrible he looks. I would have taken a female character, a cool new male character, but they give us this jungle book kid to replace Kilik?

Aside from that everything else is great, but I'm so disappointed I can't be hyped.

Oh, that's a good point, I hated fighting against him (but I had no clue what I was doing back then lol XD). I'm sure there'll be pluses and minuses for using flying moves or fire moves, if he has them in his movelist.

I'm sure of that too. Seeing that he had a small fanbase and them bringing him back means that there was some seriously Lizzy revamping going on.
