Eh bout the only generic SA thread not made for Yoda yet. . .So let's talk Yoda. . .set-ups and such

236BBBBBB seems non AC in some juggles, and AC in others. .

6B beats out a lot of moves. . and if he whiffs it he's safe against anything that's not a low or move that makes ground contact, ex. Lizardman's A+B. ..

He uses up the most force for his moves and get's it back the slowest -__-.. One combo and I'm down 1/4 of my bar

I've never really used Yoda's 236B series. I can never get my timing down so that all the hits connect. Is there really a point? What kind of damage are we talking about if all hits connect?

I don't do them too often either. . but it's around 54 on NC from what I usually get.

Also for anyone wanting to know. . Yoda technically has 4 low moves:
    1A
    2K
    66AA
    6A+K

2K imo is his best low since it pretty much just makes his hitbox disappear, and knocks down on CH. .
6A+K is probably his second best since it covers a lot of distance and can sometimes trick with 6A. .
66AA is ok in combos, but it's unsafe on block.
    1A sucks

Random other thing I've been thinking. . .
Yoda technically has an advantage no one else in the game has: He never goes into crouch. Since he can't be grabbed that already doesn't matter. And if someone does a low move the game registers him as still standing when he blocks low. So he can punish a lot of low moves that might be hard for some characters to. . .except he's slow as fuck so it's really just going to be what can he 6B on after block.

umm well i get the 236BBBBBB everytime the trick is to delay the first and second B the first slightly longer than the second, and if you do time it successfully then you can do 4B+K for an extra hit which just in my oppinion makes their face own the ground and leaves you at BT and if they don't tech correctly or even if they do, you can use Yoda's BT B+K which beats alot of their options at this point especially off the JF Ukemi which this does allow them, the only real option they have is to block and you will be left at an advantage from the block and if it connects and stun them you can do it again.

So idk just my 2 cents on what i thought the point on it was

Since some people might not understand this due to only one period being used, I'll explain this in my own words.

Like Demarcus said, the trick to getting the 236BBBBBB is the delayed timing between the hits, mainly the first and second. After that 4B+K is guaranteed and will leave you in back turn, and in a good mix-up position. At that point I like to mix up between BT 2K, 236B, and BT B+K, into 236BBBBBB, 4B+K again.

Yea and i might not have pointed this out idk, but BT B+K pretty much always hits, off the 4B+K, put everyonce in a while a person can slip in a block, i haven't seen much blocks tho altho i've seen it to happen after the 236BBBBBB, 4B+K

Edit: Re-tested online after 236BBBBBB, 4B+K BT B+K always hits, offline however BT B+K off of the combo is only garuanteed if your opponent does the JF Ukemi right after, but they can plainly Tech and Gaurd if they don't do the JF Ukemi.

So I'm curious as to what people think of his A+B+K force cancels. I've never really tested them, but the forward version seems to jump really high, which might avoid some interrupt attempts, and it seems it'll be decent on block. On top of that, there are some good combos when it hits. The side/reverse A+B+K can loop forever without using force and it seems like it'll be a safe option since your opponent won't try to counterattack right away since you can keep looping. Thoughts?

his A+B+K cancels can still be interupted like any of the other ones.
his side A+B+K cancels(2_8A+B+K) dont' work any better than his 2_8A+K cancels 8 being better tho, it reduces the chance of getting hit

Edit: i notice i didn't specify this but his 6A+B+K can still be interupted while he is in the air, Sieg 3B being a example of something to use to interrupt it

    yea, B tracks B+K doesn't track however

Also in 66B, 6B+K B the 6B+K adds no extra damage in that strings at all, it's just a waste of force.

Random observation/question here. What's with your character flashing red when you 6G/3G/auto-gi GI/JI Yoda? It doesn't do it for 4G or 1G. Does that mean anything, or is it just some weird random thing going on?
  17. Soupy

    Soupy [09] Warrior

it's a Immediate GI, meaning you timed your GI on point it does it with everycharacters
  18. andur

    andur [10] Knight

I've never seen it do that with any other character. I'm not talking a JI, regular GI's do it.
  19. microgamer

    microgamer [10] Knight

I know what you're talking about. I have no real understanding as to why it does that, maybe it's just indicating that you're owning Yoda's Soul Gauge even if it's not a JI.

    Soupy [09] Warrior

OH, Against yoda GI kills his Soul gauge, vs yoda all i can tell you is his Soul gauge is prolly low
