i picked Cassandra because there isn't any replacement for her yet. and plus there hasn't been any word on her either. plus all the other characters that have been on the soul calibur cases have either returned or had a successor returned but not Cassandra. Pat doesn't count because he has his own moveset. Pyrrha is sophie's successor. hopefully if she does return in some form she'll resort back to her conservative and arrogant self. she was completely perverted in SC4.

Pyrrha and Patroklos both have Cassandra moves.

Patroklos and Pyrrha represent Cassy and Sophie. Cassy chased Sophie to save her. History repeats itself with Patroklos doing the same for Pyrrha. And these two children of Sophie obviously have some of their aunt and mom's moves. Just watch some vids in the soul arena to see similarities. Personally, I see Pat as a male oriented Cass and Pyrrha as a timid looking Sophie.


I'm not trying to be an ass, but you gotta let her go dude. I understand your love for Cassy as it's similar to me and Mi-na, but Cassy has no purpose in plot and gameplay imho. In SCIV, all she cared about was bringing Sophie home safely. It's confirmed Sophie died as of now. What's Cassy's purpose now?



Staying ontopic, Talim should return. 32 years old Talim needs to be shown with more grace and maturity. And she has a purpose: the swords disrupt the peace. The wind told her that lol.
 
Setsuka (or an apprentice) needs to return.
1. Fighting Style
2. Reason for Mitsurugi to be in the game.
3. Geisha's are TIGHT lmao

The idea of a hidden sword in an umbrella is SICK. SCIII had the most unique styles added to the game. SCIV needed another character other than Hilde and Algol (they both we're hated anyway)

But do yall remember at the end of SCIII when that random girl was boutta kill someone? Long story short she told her revenge wasnt the key. That girl would be almost PERFECT to debut in SCV with Setsuka's style it only seems right. I'd be mad as hell if the style was gone it was too cool lol

Hey everyone! Let's see who's in the lead so far! For first place, we have.... (drum rolls) Talim! Yep, the green haired priestess who will finally become a... woman in SCV if she returns! (sheds tears. They grow up so fast...). Gaining new height, new assets and who knows what else lol. Many of you (including me), are all anxious to see her return and if she doesn't (Celine Dion starts playing my heart will go on...) jk jk. Well, let's see who's second shall we?
Not far behind, we have the lovely Setsuka! With those unique moves and -don't mess with me or you'll die-attitude, she is quite a favourite. And I'd give her my month's paycheck just to have that umbrella but she comes in second with 18 votes. Not bad, not bad.
Third place, we have mina mina! I like her but I stink with her so for those of you out there who can use this lovely gal, I take my hat off to you (I don't have a hat so I'll just chuck Raph's hat to you). A long time veteran, will she still be in it? Probably not but who knows? Anyway, we will miss you if you leave us and have a girl take your place.
Will the voting be different in a few days? Who knows. But don't be shy to say why you want your favorite female to come back in SCV. All opinions are respected!

the thing is, i'm don't care if Cassy returns as a playable character or not. i just want to see her as even a cameo in the game. i just want to know how's she doing after 17 years. Namco just can't up and dismiss someone without any reason. (well maybe they can). but if she comes into SC5 as even just a character in a minor cut scene i will be overjoyed and satisfied.

Um.....then how should it be portrayed? I can't think of anything convenient. We'll just have to wait and see: does Cassy get fortune or misfortune?

I think this would really irritate me if I was in VR's shoes. It's not so bad to have someone say your character isn't coming back, but "character similarities" is just writing off the concern with ignorance.

Don't worry, Cassandra maybe gone, but Pat has some of her moves.

Great, so you mean the iconic moves that were the corner stone of my play style are coming back?

Yeah, real good ones like AK, 44K, and angel side step. Wow, it'll be just like you're playing Cassandra.
 
Here's what people dont get IMO

Ivy is Ivy throughout the series right?
Say she dies and her sister Raquel takes over the style?
It's STILL Ivy but it's a Palette Swap.

Let the developers work their magic and tweak the characters BE OPEN to change guys. If Sophitia would still be in SCV (even though she really is) they really couldn't add more unique-ness to the character lets face it, she's ran her course and they've ran out of options for Sophitia.

Just be happy the style is still in SCV and not completely gone cause that would be CRAZY stupid. Im not tryna be an asshole but thats the best way I could put it.

I understand for I get into that situation when comes to Kilik and Mi-na as well. My head aches because certain favorite characters get so much blowjobs and begs, it kinda makes me frown quite a lot. I even get tired of my poor Mi-na getting all this too. That's why I just want this character speculation to be over with so it can stop all this. It causes tension for me.

As for gameplay? I wait.......and wish we could stop talking of looks and more on the strategies and so. I'm sorry if I sound ignorant for I tend to just exaggerate when I have limited knowledge. It's just I really want SCV in my hands so I can finally get into the gameplay.....

Are you that ignorant? We've had how many playable demos of this game, and you say we know nothing about these characters? Anything that we've gathered from any of these playable demos will be in the soul arenas. I suggest you check it out.

Lmao that comment discredited everyone who has played SCV and the expertise of some 8wayrun members. Where have you been these past few months? Do your research before boldly saying shit that stupid. Talk to Jaxel, BrewtusBibulus, Partisan, ilTokyoli, and others who were present at NEC or any SCV event to that matter. They know more about SCV than you probably do at this point. If you want weight thats weight on my statement. Are you a Casual Gamer?

oh my gosh. of course i know that they played the game but

1) the game's not even in it's final state. if you guys were paying attention to what the people in charge, not people who play the game, are saying then you would know that anything that any says they think they understand how something works it could obviously be subject to change.

2) these people only get a certain amount of time to play the game. they aren't able to sit down with the game and analyze it. shoot they don't even get to see the whole play list.

i didn't discredit anyone so you can quit putting words in my mouth. yeah people probably do know more about the game because i won't be playing it until this weekend. and what does being a casual gamer have to do with anything. if someone is anaylitical then it doesn't matter whether the person rarely plays games or is constantly on the tournament scene. (if you haven't noticed i haven't answered you irrelevant question).

so my weight is my 1) statement.

it would be a discredit to whoever has played the game. Wtf if SCV just got announced and someone says Tira's 66B hits grounded and no gameplay of her or the game was shown I can concur with you saying no one knows anything about the characters yet. I asked if you were a casual gamer in sarcasm cause thats what a casual gamer would say.

2) Any time playing the game is significant, therefore the person who played the game can go to the Soul Arena and tell us what they've noticed while playing the game.
