Mythical Greece Is The Word!

Wow you made one of the Graeae, I'm impressed I didn't think anyone knew enough about them. That Minotaur bothers me a wee bit... It seems messy I guess... Like the pirate horns and the fauld seem like they stand out in a weird way... no offense, just feeding back. I love the Siren though, clearly not your average mermaid :D .

No need to opologise I like any fedback wether it b good or bad :) I agree with you about the Minotaur no matter what I did I just couldn't get him right and indeed almost didn't post him but couldn't really do a mythical greece theame without him, I may have another crack at him later but at the moment I'm having more of a problem with this idea then I thought
 
These are all pretty nice! Love the use of the bikini w pareo on Medusa, although the clipping of the feathers and snakes on her head is off-putting.​
 
Your siren is top notch...the thing with you and Gatsu is that you got perfect HD screenshots that really bring out the colors proper...it is not fair (just kidding) ;o)

I appreciate the originality of the witch too, with the empty eye sockets...

That minotaur i wouldn't like to encounter in a dark alley, it is simple but does the job quite well, my friend...

now my turn to advertize : the slideshows are ready and posted in my thread in a bit...

In all honestly, my adjectives and nouns and whichever I use to describe your creations don't matter anymore considering you always outdo them. Simply stunning.
 
Aw man. Seeing you make excuses for two of your weaker characters is sad, Matty. You and everyone that's viewed one of your topics knows you can do better than that. C'mon, make 'em work! I'm pretty sure everyone has faith that you can make them awesome. So get to it already :)
 
I like Greek Mythology too, and I love that Medusa, Poseidon, and Siren, and Krat.. oh wait. lol Anyway, I can't say much, just.. awesome :D

There is no best creator out there, all different senses and sensibilities, and it certainly isn't the point of the community to declare a winner of a CAS nobel prize, is it ?
Even the beginner CAS creator is a winner in my books, as long as he had fun doing it and is proud to play it somehow...
 
Graeae is my favorite so far ... all are well done ... even the early ones (I remember those) There is a real straight forward approach to them that reminds me of illustrations from the myth books I read when I was young.

Zeus was one of the first people I made ... I remember feeling like a genius when I used the Raccoon tail for a beard.... I did not realize that pretty much everyone would be thinking the same thing .... and that there were so many other things that could and would be done with the CAS system. ... but seeing your stuff has rekindled my own interests and made me remember the early days of this whole obsessive journey.

It feels funny being nostalgic about something a few months old.....

Well, I'm sorry for being a biased human. Maybe Matty is better than Gatsu, but I just like Gatsu's better.

Enough off topic though. You Poseidon looks particularly amazing.

If you need a royal judge, Pocky Yoshi shall give his opinion as neutral as he can. And I have pretty good judgement on what looks like "This is awesome" to "It's nice but....." Competition always brings the best out of all of us. Because we're always feeding off another for ideas. Thus, we get encouragement.

If I were to put a tier list, Gatsu and Matty82 would be top. It's already enough that I'm always wowed by them. I like them both equally since they both have amazing potential that should never be overlooked. Basically PS should hire them imho. That's how great they are. Sure they make some mistakes as I spotted, but they're only minor ones out of simple trial and error.


But as much as I favor them a lot, there's also other talent I can't ignore. Fliptop, chobek, rdmunhoz, ThePascuzzi, Vilarcane, Leona, yosharioll, LordDraco3, Mistakoo, Noregrets, and Samaras_Madness. Quite frankly, even Gatsu and Matty82 visit certain threads that wow them.


Pocky Yoshi rule: If you can intrigue Pocky Yoshi, you have my attention. If you don't have it, keep sharing and eventually you will have it. The minute you stop is the minute you forfeit your ability.

Basic rule: If you get a response and/or critique of your CAS, you're doing fine. Just keep on sharing.

Awesome rule: If you intrigue someone who isn't into CAS and/or good CAS artist into liking it, you're doing great. I've seen a few peeps who have done that.

Ontopic: Can you do oriental stuff next, Matty82? Pocky Yoshi needs to see some justice done to them haha. Also to recharge my dormant battery on CAS haha.

Well as far as excuses go I still think its still valid that my older work isn't going to be as good as my newer stuff
as far as designs go yes they are not the most exciting but I don't think they are bad they just do exactly what they say on the tin. I'm sure I will come back to them but at the moment what I want to deal with the request characters first.

I love just looking through my older stuff, sometimes I'm like oh my god did I really do that and then there are other times I think if I just changed this it willl be perfect. the first thing I do when I get a new dlc pack is go through all my creations and see If I can improve them with the new stuff
