Hey guys! How far is the airport from the venue? It looks like I'm going and I was wondering if anyone could pick me up or if I have to get a taxi.
 
There's a free shuttle to the hotel. Just ask someone at the counter to tell you where to stand and which one to take. It's easy and convenient.
 
Guys, this hotel is in South Philadelphia which is 20 mins from the international airport. They will most likely not have a courtesy shuttle. You will need to arrange for a pickup or get a taxi.

If any out of town players are arriving on Friday and need assistance with pickups, call me. I will do my best to accommodate.

Khent if it's the same Holiday Inn by that stadium I know for a fact they have a shuttle. You do have to call the hotel though to tell them that you need to be picked up so save that number into your phone. It usually takes about 20-30 minutes for them to come get you so you might wanna call as you're on the way to the shuttle bus pick up area. They will tell you what "zone" to wait in. You can just read the signs and it'll tell you where that is easily.
 
WOAH! It seems they are taking the full price of the room upon reservation. We never had to do that before. We just paid when we checked in. Is that the case for anyone else? I can't take a $450 hit right now when I haven't even gotten my plane ticket yet. Meh, looks like TFC for me then.

Ok, they have one after all. They'll probably want you to go Zone 4. Anyone is welcome to call me for help if they wish.

John, I might be able to help you financially with your problem this time around. Would it help if I and possibly others donated for your plane ticket?
 
I'll still be at Summer Jam since I've paid for my registration. Going to have to postpone the match with Greatone because now I can't afford to waste money now with real life shit to take care of after some jackass hit my car.

His day will come.
 
So has SCV reached the cap yet? If so will the pre-reg list be made public?

I already pre-regged just need to get bus tickets and figure out the room situation.

Also I will fully support an SC2HD tournament (and SC4 I love that game) and if there is a big enough pot bonus for SC2HD maybe QPShen will come from Japan for it. I mean he paid $1500 for a plane ticket to EVO only to play SC2 which he won, so I wouldn't be surprised if he comes to SJ8 if it has a nice pot bonus and player support!

E, you may wanna talk to the hotel and have them speak to the reservations department. When I tried to book my room she said that with the group rate they charge your card when you reserve. It's what made me quit looking for a room. Luckily a fine gentleman booked one on his own and will room me.

When I got the room online they didn't end up charging.
