Wow, the 2010s have a been a really shitty decade for SC. The only major release was SCV, which blew. The only other releases are an HD port, a shitty free-to-play on PS3, and an even shittier free-to-play on mobile, the latter two have been terminated. What has happened to this once awesome series?
SCV was a failure only as a "game", but as a "fighting game" it was quite awesome.

Yea, i don't think that's SC either.
Is it confirmed to be a fighting game tho?
Cuz if it is i'll be pissed. Another new Namco Bandai fighter that isn't SC6. >:(

It shouldn't have been tied to SC, that's the problem.
SCV has a lot of problems, sure, like lacking single player content, terrible story, character replasements that a too much anime, 3 freaking mimics (okay, roster in general).
What I meant is that fighting system is cool and online is good. SCV sucked at everything besides being a great fighting game, oh, and it also has a great CAS. That lacked in content too, but it still was really good.
It's my favorite game in the series, actually (SCIV being most ulikable for me, as the only thing i liked in it was over-the-top design of Nightmare, lol). And the only one I liked to play competitively (omg, that awesome fusion between 2D and 3D mechanics). SCIII is second closest, I have spent numerous hours on it, that good it was, that much good content it had.

I'm hoping once we get SCVI and it hopefully brings the series back on track, we'll look back at SCV as that one black sheep of the series.

Developers should stop experimenting with SC. If they want to do that, try creating a new franchise. I bet none of them dare to touch Tekken in any way. Keep the old players, bring on the new, give us a huge roster a lá Tekken and let's roll.
