Wasn't Ezio bow mechanic kind of similar to Link?

Felt like looking up some youtube videos on it. Sort of. Inputs are a little different so far.

The series has been lost since IV. In III they kinda had something working with Seigfried wanting revenge against SE and Zasalamel being this mysterious guardian but IV was pretty much PS setting up this epic final battle and then remembering that Seigfried and Nightmare aren't the only characters in the game. Don't even get me started on Algol and that Astral Chaos bs.

Any word on Tira? I feel it's unlikely they won't include her and I want to know if anything changed about her moods, that's definitely something I think they can work with when it comes to multiple movesets.

Would be super surprised if she was left out
Yeah, especially since she was one of the only women who survived SCV's roster cut. She's the iconic villainess out the series, and her style translates perfectly to the style-switching thing they're trying to promote.

I'm all for SCV getting retconned, but I don't like the idea of a total reboot. IMO, they should do another timeskip from SCIV, but make it less drastic. Something like 3-4 years later instead of 17 years.
SCV in a sense seemed like it was an attempt at a soft reboot, which is why they probably wanted to age out the old characters and add in all these kids, however the new writing direction has shown how bad it can be when it doesn't follow the original grounding of the series motif. So a complete reboot can be disastrous if it has the same staff on it and they wouldn't be able to go backward if they did. A SCV retcon would be safer, I'm just concerned about the writing & motif direction because of how abysmal it was in what V started.

SCV was a pseudo reboot because Daishi wanted to make his personal stories real, and no one had asked for that. This is why you see so many fans hoping they'll retcon SCV, possibly out of existence. Since Daishi is not the one in charge anymore, it wouldn't be detrimental to the series I presume.

Alright I'm gonna make a mistake here and start planning for the future when nothing has been set in stone yet, but what are the best channels to subscribe to and what are the best sites to frequent if I want to really learn Soul Calibur in depth?

I played SCV a lot but only casually with friends, I plan to go all out this time in SCVI.
As of right now the best I can say is pay attention to what goes up here in the media section. You're going to see a lot of things in the beginning but I would pay attention to more of the well known tournament players. I know Partywolf will be doing quite a bit on his twitch channel and on his youtube. Xephukai is more than likely going to be streaming quite a bit. I suspect we'll get a return from the legend that is Partisan. Also some of the Philly guys like JJJ (unfortunately I can't remember his twitch or youtube channels off hand) Zeroeffect, and possibly (cross our fingers) Woahhzz. I can't forget our current streamers like Linkorz, Jimbonator, Marginal and jonnitti. Most importantly though I would pay attention to when tournaments are being streamed for Calibur. If you can't watch them live you can always watch the archives or go to that streamers youtube channel and watch them there. I know Avylon will probably have quite a bit of content

It's a fact and it's confirmed.
What the hell are you talking about? Nothing is a fact and there is definitely nothing confirmed. Hell there isn't anything that even leans toward any character being in and out. Stop with your silliness. You know nothing like the rest of us so don't go off saying things as if they are facts. You can say you think things may be a certain way or you HOPE that things work out another but know that you KNOW absolutely nothing.

It really hurts having to wait and see which characters get added in the game leading up to it's launch. Especially those that have to wait days before the launch of the game.

Me personally, I think I am safe considering my main has been in every entry from SoulCalibur onward, but for players that main characters like Talim, Setsuka or Zas, it really sucks.

I wouldn't skip SoulCalibur VI if they didn't include my main character, although I would certainly be bitter about it. I have met a few people that either stuck to IV or abandoned the franchise entirely due to an absence of their character in V.

These days it seems like all these businesses do is tease us with stupid hints and teasers with ridiculous images. " Here is a picture of a character's left toe and the tip of their weapon. Watch as these poor guys scour the internet for character models to compare toes and weapon tips hahaha. "

Call me crazy, but I like to know what I am buying. I know I am deviating from what you said, but I really dislike how they push people to preorder games when we don't even know what they include. I would LOVE to know which characters are going to be in the game up front. Save the surprises for DLC.
I'm sure by the time it's coming out we'll get to know most if not all of the roster slots. Hell with Gamestop you can preorder the game the very day before it comes out and still get what's coming with it.
