Then you may know already that for the next few days or so before the release of Soul Calibur 6 I'll be posting gameplay from the Beta I participated in.
First we have some of my Ivy gameplay.
I will admit that I do not know how to play her as well as other characters since she is not one of my main characters I would normally play but I wanted to try her out for myself anyway.
While I do like her and find her attractive as a character, she is not my favorite female Soul Calibur character.
You'll see some gameplay of her in an upcoming video... ;)
Continuing on,
she seems to me like a good mix of her her previous versions when it comes to her move set from what I played and observed (from those who actually main her) and in the capable hands is gonna be a monster to face.
When playing her she felt a lot like her appearance in Soul Calibur 2 and 5.
A lot of the moves I was able to preform with her were moves I remembered using from her appearance in Soul Calibur 5.
Also side note: I do not like her new special grab. I believe it is a bit OP/Broken Imo. I know it is possible to avoid by moving forward or jumping but the reach it has is ridiculous. Sorry I don't have footage of it but I was unable to perform it. That and I really don't want to break my controller again like I did in Soul Calibur 4 while tirelessly learning how to do it.
