Man the aggro accompanying every set of patch notes is hilarious. This patch is clearly a quick fix for a few bugs and not intended to be a total shake-up of character balance... it takes time to sort that kind of thing out, especially with the ridiculous approval process each patch has to go...
TBH it looks more like bugfixes than nerfs to me. Yes, certain characters need buffing but personally I'd rather see the cheap tricks gone than suffer yet another Leixia infinite.
Someone else just pointed this out to me :) I think they're the only A+K moves in the game - makes sense for them to be on an 'awkward' button combo, since they're kinda suicidal moves lol
I think Sony removed the analogue face buttons on the Dualshock3. At any rate, you don't get analogue acceleration on GTA4 if you use the 'classic' config... and they don't have the same 'travel' to them that you can feel in the PS2 buttons.
It also makes me wonder why they didn't swap G and B in the default config. If you do that, you can do all the combo presses with your thumb (throws being on L1/L2 already)
I supected as much, but couldn't find any solid answers on the webs. Feels really weird coming straight from Soul 2 -> Soul 5... odd how they left the macro in the options menu when the combo isn't even used. Really appreciate the confirmation though mate, I like to learn the moves through...
Happy to help :) I've yet to find any A+K moves in the WIKI (though if someone could provide solid info on this I'd love to hear it), so the difficulty in pressing those together shouldn't be an issue.
I spent a while trawling the WIKI for A+K moves, but couldn't find any, even for Siegfried. Just a couple of aK or kA slides. My disdain for move lists isn't laziness, I find they kill the excitement of finding the moves for myself. Seems odd that there'd be a macro option for A+K when it's not...
I get where you're coming from, but I really don't think it was intended to be used thumb-style, hence the lopsided design. At any rate, I gave your problem some thought last night (damn insomnia!) and I came up with something that might help - a slight button layout re-arrange. Using a regular...
Well... not really sure what you're objecting to, or what exactly you're looking for... at the end of the day you can only adapt to the tools at hand, or find new tools. What is it you actually want from a controller? There may be something out there to fit your needs, though honestly it's...
I don't see how the buttons' size has anything to do with that - their proximity from one another, perhaps. At any rate, I'd avoid actually sliding your fingers across several buttons - it's not neccassary, the same input can be achieved with seperate fingers - and having a 'finger per button'...
Just got SCV a week ago, haven't played much as I was waiting for my Fight Commander pad to show up - which it now has. My previous game of choice was SC2 on Gamecube, and I more or less skipped the games between as I really disliked various aspects of them.
Now I've made the leap, I have a...
I got mine in the mail today and have spent a couple of hours playing with it. Previously I was using a Madcatz Fightpad - I use both 'piano style' with Arcade button layout, no shortcuts/macros. I'll list my pros/cons
Hori Fight Commander Pro 3
+ Button response feels much more solid than the...
Oh I was actually thinking along the right lines then. The difference (from my perspective) is that I've always used sidesteps pre-emptively, rather than reactionally.
I'm sure I'll get my game together eventually though. It's a lot to take in at once, jumping from SC2->5 there's the movesets...
