The grab range buff is probably his biggest buff, at least that's what I've found in the lab and in casuals. Players can't just sit there and turtle all day without eating a 236B+G - or at least taking some chip from grapple breaks.
I like using 4b+kG to get in on rushdown-happy characters. TC, TJ, difficult to punish on block (for most rushers). It's tricky to use against edges and collapsible walls, but effective for punishing highs and lows on reaction.
I generally use 4b+kG to punish on reaction. It's both a TC and a TJ, and rings out. It's probably my favorite move of his, even though it's really unsafe.
If I don't feel like being quite so risky, or if I'm next to a collapsing wall (4b+kG will ring YOU out if you land a wall splat on a...
I don't like using 44BAA in wall combos, as both As can cause a splat. It's very situational which ones hit and which ones miss. Sometimes trying a 44BAA off a splat will result in the B connecting, but Aeon ending up with his back turned when the AA come out.
It's all very wtf sometimes. Wall...
You have to wait until the "descent" to input the B+K. It's better to err on the side of too late - when it'll do the damage but won't relaunch - than too early, when it'll just whiff.
If WS B hits from max range, the opponent won't be over your head when the move recovers so B+K will come out...
Check the combo thread. I've been using:
6b$ - g - 4b+kG has anyone else tried this one? It's hit-or-miss for me.
6b$ - g - 66B (timing is strict)
6b$ - g - 22_88B
The problem with fly-K after a WS A is that some characters' BT B+K moves can hit him out of fly before the K comes out. Generally I follow up a WS A with 66K or 6[K], depending on how scared my opponent is to press buttons.
I use a stick because I have gigantic flipper-hands and trying to press out combos on a dinky X360 controller will make me arthritic by the time I turn 27.
The "graph" icon on the select screen would make it seem like Aeon is one of the more well-rounded characters in the cast, but I've found it's quite the opposite. Aeon's movement might be quicker than average, but his attacks come out slowly and his best option is usually to press into a guard...
