I've been wondering about this, too. I loved that feature in Tekken: Dark Resurrection. I really hope this game has it, too.

The black guy he was talking about was Spawn. And I think he meant "normal" because he actually seems to fit into the universe of the series, hence the "Kratos needs little to no explanation or justification" part at the end.
