Jesus Christ, just had my first substantial bouts with somewhat experienced Cassandras and she's just begging to be patched. That chick can be all over the place in the blink of an eye and force pressure like a tsunami of bricks. Never seen such an intimidating offensive in any SC character...
This game is running on fumes from my experience, and has been for months on end. I'm happy they're doing CPR with the promise of a second season but really, who are they kidding? Online is practically dead compared to other fighting games and in those rare occasions when sessions get somewhat...
My initial thoughts on Amy were very positive since she's incredibly mixup-friendly, quick and (supposedly) safe. I have played her ALOT, put down loads and loads of hours and know her ins and outs fairly well and I can now say that she, at least for me, isn't as strong as she was in SCIV. For...
It ticks me off that they neglected VS mode to the point of absurdity. It's inconsistent and buggy as hell in my experience, and it seems as if they've mapped a very particular behavior to each of the characters making them far too predictable.
I mean, could it hurt to give Xia something else...
Why the HELL have they made Cervantes so incredibly hard on VS Legendary when playing Amy? He behaves like a fortress, reading inputs perfectly 100% of the time and punishing like clockwork. Why only him when the others are so easily beatable? Is it just a bad matchup? I am seriously baffled.
So yeah, I am probably quitting SCVI until they revert or alter the GS changes significantly. It's a drastic move on my part since I never usually react like this but the game isn't enjoyable for me personally in its current state. Lifebars are flashing red left and right and there's this...
Fighting Zas with Amy clearly illuminates the problem with her. Zas is just as fast, probably just as safe if not safer with that range, and deals HEAPS more damage for every blow from the very start. I can't shake this, it really does bother me.
They should have given Amy a bit more damage dealt from an array of base moves. Their weak properties become rather ridiculous when compared to similar ones from others. Her base strings are also short and don't amount to much. The balance feels off as she has that constant uphill struggle...
She is actually deceptively hard to play (on a higher level) since base damage is crazy low and she has to work quite alot to stack up the hurt. One has to think fast and mix things up cleverly to be dangerous.
Yikes, simmer down there. I was speaking entirely from a personal viewpoint, as in I personally can't enjoy the experience if I get steamrolled continously by online players or, for that matter, fail to offer most people some kind of challenge. That's me. Good to meet ya. However, I guess...
I never understood why people go online with new characters they barely understand. It's not a good experience for anyone. I spend days practising and learning moves/combos/mixups before online even crosses my mind.
I really like that Amy's rose shenanigans carry over between rounds. Once you've collected them you got all those upgraded moves for the rest of the match. I quit Zas because of this aspect. Such a bummer having to collect anew for every round.
