It’s possible, they managed to fix up Talim’s awfulness from 3 and 4 to the point that several pro players have considered her top tier, though I think high mid tier is more accurate.
Personally, I’ve always found Yun Seong more fun to play than Hwang, though that’s probably due to Yun having more evasive moves and (except in his SC4 version) better mobility.
Also, completing ZWEI would require more effort in my opinion as turning him into a fun, not bottom tier character...
Compared to the rest of the current gen 3D fighters, SC is probably the least egregious offender for everything he was accusing it of. It also seems like he didn’t bother following any of the development of the game since a large proportion of what he said could be accounted for by the game’s...
I don’t think serial murderer is an apt description as, to my knowledge, all of the people he’s killed by the time SC6 ended we’re done in self defense (excluding Dumas).
Another character I could potentially see taking over a guest fighting style would Miser. She has a few moves and stances in SC3 that look fairly similar to 2B’s (teleporting into the air for a stance, 11BB had her do a forward teleport, and her shuriken was capable of instantly returning to...
The characters mentioned in story that got introduced in later games are Amy, Cassandra, Pyrrha, and Pat.
No other lore characters have made it into main roster from what I’m aware.
When someone said that Hwang had a lot of Yun moves I got worried. However, almost everything of Yun’s he has they’ve shared at some point and the only thing somewhat iconic they used was 33_99A,B.
In short, this is reassuring.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but hasn’t Raphael mentioned that Talim looked slightly older than Amy? If so, then that would be minor confirmation that she was 15 or younger whenever he made the comparison.
In terms of gameplay, he was always supposed to be (if his frame data wasn’t crap) the more aggressive character of the two and in many ways could be considered similar to Cassandra, Xianghua, and Talim. His unique animations are flashier/more reckless than Hwang’s (especially in 4) and his...
As one of the three (as said by LisaK) other Yun Seong fans, the only thing that would potentially make me dislike Hwang would be if they gave him Yun’s crane stance and/or his unique movement options (land walk, crane swoop, and his backflips from crane).
That being said, I am actually excited...
