KaiBro's CaS

How many are you planning on uploading?
Well just the ones that were said to need some work, other than that a few new ones will be uploaded in the first page and all the newer versions will show up in their respective spoilers from before. Although the first 2 won't be changed, since they are creations of me and my gf sooooo yeah. Everything else might or might not have something done to them and some might be taken out.
Edit: Ok maybe slight changes to them ._.

Just a suggestion bro, but could u like put the names of ur chars above the spoiler tags? It would make looking for a specific character mucho mucho easier.

So the updated CaS will make an appearance later this week or so? I'm still tweaking some especially with the parts from DLC. Just a thought but should keep the version of the CaS and put the updated versions in the spoilers?

ok how do you upload character pics with an xbox? people say you do it with a phone or camera but how do you make the pics look like they're taken in-game with perfect frames?

I use "sport mode" on my digital camera to make in-game pics, or stance pics in the editor...works fine, provided you can live with ditching a few ones along the way of course...
then i used photofiltre for editing and 666kb.com for importing to this forum (pic needs to be less than 666Kb)

From my CAS thread:
Photography tips for shooting a TV screen (these assume you know some basic photography or are at least willing to refer to your camera’s manual):
  1. Set file mode to RAW if you can. If you don’t have RAW on your camera, you are going to need to pick a manual white balance setting that gets you good color from your TV (experiment). Don’t leave WB on auto if you can help it, or your colors will vary randomly from shot to shot.
  2. Set your exposure mode to manual (M).
  3. Set your shutter speed to 1/60, so only one TV frame is ever shot (avoiding blur and frame overlap). If your 120 Hz or 240 Hz HDTV has a fancy frame interpolation feature some overlap may be unavoidable, but faster than 1/60s and most TVs don’t put out enough light to capture without too high an ISO. So shutter at 1/60 is usually the best choice.
  4. Set aperture to maximum (lowest f/number) and increase ISO gradually until you reach correct brightness (check your histogram, if you can display it on your camera - avoid clipping the highlights). This yields the cleanest possible image.
  5. Make sure you are square to the TV (i.e. don’t shoot from slightly off to the side), and use a low-distortion lens if you own one. If your lens is a zoom, the lowest distortion is typically in the middle of the zoom range (e.g. 35mm on a 18-55mm lens). Consider using a tripod if you have one, just for convenience’s sake. Position the camera so your TV, or even better just that image portion you want, fills the viewfinder — using all of your sensor’s resolution.
  6. If you have RAW capability, shoot one SCV CAS image with a 50% grey value (0:0,16) chosen on the color picker. You are going to use this image to manage white balance later. If you don’t have RAW, you can skip this step, but do try to get your WB set properly as mentioned earlier.
  7. Take all the pictures you need. Keep manual settings the same from pic to pic.
  8. If you have a RAW editor (e.g. Aperture or Lightroom), use your 50% grey picture that you took earlier to color pick for a custom white balance. Apply that custom WB to all the photos from that session and future sessions.
  9. Adjust exposure, crop, resize, and export.
  10. ?
  11. Profit
It sounds complicated, but really it’s the most effective and efficient way; once you configure the manual settings, you can simply click-click-click knowing that every single shot will be perfect.

Ok for anyone who cares, most of my CaS has been updated. Before and after pics are shown.

Tsukimiya looks better except a soft color instead of bright red would compliment her top better. The waist piece seems a bit odd, but I'll let it slide for now.

Elaine became a new favorite of potential alongside Tsukimiya, but some how that first one could of been tweaked more as the second one is a mismatch imho.

Cain is fine with the colors and all, but the gauntlets and shoulder pads are choking the simple outfit. Go with simple gauntlets. No shoulder pads.

Kai has a little odd herp derp assassin feel to him but intrigues me.

The rest either were a miss or they intrigue Pocky Yoshi a bit. Like Kotama's helmet design for the gold and white one. Keep on sharing.

Are you talking about 1st pic or the 2nd pic of Tsuki, because the only thing that is red is her hakama. Her top only consists of light-bright-ish pink and a dull-ish white with some cherry blossom stickers. And for Elaine, I feel like the shoes are the reason for the mismatch o.o Oh I like Kotama's helmet too XD

Tsukimiya before had a simple red, but now it's like "hey, pay more attention to my pants than everything else" red. Sure mikos always were traditional white and red, but it's okay to make it unique and break from the trend to go with a soft blue or soft violet to make it more feminine for instance. The stereotypical mikos in anime tend to be very reserved and so on. So I derp around and stick to absolute girly colors to strengthen timid, shy, quiet, and graceful girls. Sure pink is a great start, but compliment it. Gentle pink and bright red don't mix imho.

Elaine catches my interest only because of how she was set-up. The boots do nothing for her. Though I can't make sense of what type of fighter she's supposed to be, she intrigues me oddly. Though she's generic, I feel she can be those americans wanting to be a kunoichi. Or a stylish cosplayer into kunoichi wear.

Cain feels like a Asian j-pop/k-pop stars wearing ZWEI stuff, so there isn't much to say except pads and long gauntlets are a no-no. That's the vibe I got.

Kai.......assassin like but very derpish. The top seems meh but will suffice. The bottom.......not so much.

Hmm then I'll re-adjust them and upload them in a day or so. Oh and sadly I was trying to aim for the shrine maiden ponytail but to no avail.

Saw them. Cain looks better. Tsukimiya is much better. The other two felt meh still.
Yeah the tops are limiting for the guys, so Kai is eh. I tried the kunoichi-ish look for Elaine, but eh~ Haha probably using that color code complimentary website isn't much help lol
