Granted, after the top 4, things get a little bit more vague. My opinion might come from me maining sieg, who has a poor MU against her.

The MU's for other chars against her might be better, although from what i've heard she seems to give a lot chars a hard time.

That's why there's no point, the top 10 is all in the same category as the 'top 5' people keep mentioning.

'Top 5' to me doesn't seem to be 'top 5' best characters, it just seems to be 'top 5' most cried about.

None of the characters you mentioned are as solid as the top 5 ergo they are below them. To be top 5 a maximum of 4 characters can be generally better than the character in question, which is not the case with your list.

Top 10 implies they are as good as each other, but there is a clear divide between strong and top characters in this game even if they are all viable.

One could possibly make a case for Natsu, but none of the others.

A case could be made for any of them imo. What's the divide you're talking about? Because it sure as hell not Major wins, considering Mitsu's on everybody's top 5 but hasn't won half as many majors as other characters.

Major wins does not = character strength.
Evo 2k9 was won by Ivy, she was still a mile below Hilde. NM isn't top 5, Keev and Omega are and you're a dumbass for trying to argue the case.

I have to second syn here. To me that really sounds like char bias. Mitsu is clearly better than almost any other char, excluding the other 3 tops.

A character is nothing more or less than a set of tools. When one considers all the tools, one can identify which characters are inherently more powerful than others. Alpha is unquestionably a lot better than Siegfried. Yet Siegfried has won a major. Tournament performances are something the uneducated use to determine which character is stronger. Sets was better than SCIV Ivy, but Ivy won everything.

Mandy's $.02 here. Top 4 definitely must be aPat, Mitsu, Viola, and Cervantes. Algol is definitely right behind, shortly after NM/Pyrrhas/Natsu.

I'd say that's fairly definitive.

The main issue with Astaroth is that you must play him almost purely based on mind games, and even then depending on how your opponent guesses, matches can easily wind up against your favor.
