I have lost, on numerous occasions for the past few days matches against people who just spam "A" Grabs, but the game lets slip over half those grabs, even though I am MASHING the A button as I am guarding.

I was doing it at the pace it normally works at. Like, take the match I just had for example, this Natsu scrub backs himself up towards the edge to do the BE throw, I jus lol and Spam AA against him(Because the BE is an A break). Then He grabs me through my every input and RO's me anyway. WTF GAME. its rewarding idiots who are predictable.

Man, when things happen to me that I have no control over like stupidly flawed programming like this, I genuinly get pissed off.

Man i can see what happened there. BE throws generally have only a 9 frame break window instead of a 13 frame window. So i bet you tend to tech rather slowly and break like on the 9th frame or later. I suppose thats why it sometimes works for you and sometimes not.

Another thing which makes people think it doesnt read your techs is when you happened to press B for some reason really early in the break window (like for example when you were still inputting a previous move) and after that it wont accept your A breaks.

No ,90% of them time I break something, it is the most earliest break. If your statement was true, i'd be getting late breaks all the time. But that is not the case. The game is just f*cking with me.
