mary shelley's frankenstein, catch-22, the great gatsby, the catcher in the rye, the color purple, macbeth, romeo and juliet, 1984, pride and prejudice, and the the grapes of wrath are some common favorites.
A series of unfortunate events, The inheritance cycle, harry potter....those are the more fantasy like.
I've heard a lot about Catch-22, but never seen it at a library or anything. Been sorta interested to read it. I mostly read fantasy books, Brandon Sanderson and Brent Weeks are probably my favorite authors. I did just finish a book called "This Book Will Save Your Life". It wasn't a weird self-help book like the title suggests, it was a pretty interesting novel. I liked the writer's style a lot.
