though they will come with practice. after that, choose a character your interested, whether you like the character, or think they're fun to play, whatever the reason. and make sure you commit to that character and train hard with them so that you can imrpove.

after that i would say go into training mode and practice practice practice until you get the basics down, though you can also train in real matches as well. but if you need to learn specific things, or train yourself to react/counter certain things, then proper utilization of training mode is also essential. i can teach you how to use training mode properly if need be.

whats more dont be afraid to ask questions. im here if you have anything to ask, but i cant be guaranteed to answer all of your questions simply because i dont know everything. askign questions in your characters Q&A thread can be of great help however.

and dont be afraid to experiment or try new things. half of growing as a player is discovery. plus you may be able to answer some of your own questions that no one else could.

Not sure, but I was not long ago in that position so maybe I can help.
Hmmm... It's a long story. Basically, play online and learn from others wherever you can. Losing a lot is to be expected so, do what you can to keep morale up... friends/whatever. That and training, learn everything you can about the characters you use and research anything new you see or think of. That's basically what I did.

Hey I know it has been a while but I was just looking through various guides (finally got time off) and was wondering what the 22_88 notation means? I think I know but I just want to be on the safe side and ask someone more knowledgeable.
At the moment I am just practicing combos and trying to find a suitable character (in more than one game too~)
