That's enough information. Nightmare isn't a strong character at all. He's seems intimidating but since the 1.02 patch, he's actually been utterly terrible. Just the strong players have been keeping him competitive.

So with all her TC and superior frames, Lex was supposed to trash NM? Huh.
How does getting in work though? I mean, his job is to keep me out, my job is to get in. What do I look out for?

Leixia is also in Nightmare's boat, a weak character. A spacing/ dancing character in a bum-rush game. Its just that Nightmare is slightly stronger than Leixia and as such has a superior match-up against her (which is amazing because Xianghua was always strong against Nightmare in previous games). But work your way forward constantly and work to shut down backstep and use your tech crouch when on superior frames.

Throw Nightmare and mix-up with launcher. Your damage output is generally lower so you will have to work for the win. Try to crush Nightmare when you are in close. Dont bother with step, step forward as much as possible and take his lunch money when he tries to backstep.

Abuse 2K as well. Not as good as in SC4 but its still a boss move. Nightmare is very weak in this version so the main thing is to learn how to kill him. Anti-Nightmare gets you far in SC5 and there is nothing he can do about it unlike in SC4.

Everybody swears in this game that their character is weak :D

Not really. I looked at whats strong and what is weak and I do talk to my community about it. I try to keep it as neutral as possible. i personally thought Nightmare was hellava strong in SC4. A lot of untapped potential. Raph was great and Rock was good too in Sc4. So yeah, no I am quite neutral.
