Berserk; Viola's weakness is some one who can hit her while in the middle of controlling her ball. Getting all up in Viola's face & trading blows is the best course of action, cause she's weak, takes time to use her ball moves, & its easily noticeable. Using a character who is stronger at attacking, your more likely to win

I'm only really decent with Pyrrha and I try to close the gap for a knockdown but if she blocks it, I am hit by SET 6 B+K. The most I can do is 4K into AA frame trap, throws and 1 K because she almost nullifies my mids. But you basically want me to press the attack? Okay then, I'll try that.

I hear Pyrrah's one of the best characters to destroy anybody fairly well. Pressing the attack, whether that'd be low blows or mid, you could even add a throw in the middle of it.

Do you set up attacks for your stab attack often? do you grapple often? Getting in Viola's face is a good start. Keep up the pressure of being in her face. She'll soon play a game she doesn't want to, which is close quarters battle. A game that even Pyrrah is one of the best at.

I TRY to anticipate throw attempts for a stab punish. I'll look over the frame data and see if i am not punishing enough but i dont think i am agressive enough. but what do i do if they use set 6B+K and they block my move? should i try to interrupt with a throw or just backstep and block?

Judging that Viola is on the right side of the screen, her 6B+K is her defensive move to instantly side step you. A risky yet, good defensive move. If your caught in it, you just gave her some good possibilities to destroy you. I'd go for attacks that would make her not do that.

If your talking about the move where she throws her ball, then counter it with 22B+A+K. You should also interrupt her with your stabs or throws. Throws & low blows should be your greatest attack source to get her to do something.

But most of all, keep up the pressure of getting in her face. She doesn't like that. Also don't ever back up & block from Viola. Do that & you'll be playing her game. She wants you to be at a distance.

Depends on how well you and your opponent play and how your opponent plays.

That's rather vague, don't you think? I use Pyrrha if that helps, but I want to look at it as me not doing the correct things rather than Viola is Satan. Not that I don't appreciate your input, Prov.

Well, you're asking a pretty general question and there's not a catch-all answer anyway. With any character, if you don't counter what your opponent is doing and get hit a lot, you'll lose. If you do the opposite, you'll win.

STAB DAT BITCH! in all seriousness, stab her as soon as she tries doing some 6B+K mix-ups (easier said than done, i know). you could also try pyrrha's aGI or even a normal GI. viola's the one character i always keep meter to GI with.

Pokes might just be your best friend against her, due to the fact of if she is hit while trying to use the orb it stops. An aggressive character like Astaroth would work too. Once you learn him he can pretty much keep anyone grounded. Hilde might also work due to the fact she has a few good pokes and aerial combos to juggle her.
But like Providence said, it just depends on the player.

That's bullshit Prov; I can get hit a lot more & still win. It's because I'm that fucking TOUGH! Forget about player wise. Roberts looking for intel about being stronger then Viola with Pyrrah.

Which he could be, but all this talk about saying "oh it depends" is like "no shit, Sherlock." We just need the details about how to gain the edge & what can be done to make Viola easier to destroy.

What Cap Jak said, Robert. Stabbing her is your most super effective move. Then again, throw a little more. Keep your opponent guessing. A typical Viola is looking for you to panic at a distance.
