Reasons why flying edge is better than dropkicks:
-Dropkicks can easily be ducked on reaction
-You can't follow up on a guard break after a dropkick, can you?
-A dropkick can't hover over viola's CE.

IRL dropkicks hurt like hell if you don't land right, and even then you're screwed if you don't calculate it right.
