I've never believed this MU to be even. NM has always had the edge. Its just no one ever fully explored the MU because theres so many few people who actually use Sieg beyond 3B/WR B spam.
you gotta try and look at it this way, NM does more dmg, however Sieg has more range, NM is faster however Sieg has more mixups...one is able to counter the other and it becomes a game of rock-paper-scissors
Technically, Sieg is faster on frame recovery but NM has rush down pressure. Sieg does have more mix ups but Nightmare gets crazy damage off punishes. It's actually tougher for Sieg to get big damage without making big reads. In conclusion, I believe NM has the MU by a long shot. This is disregarding the fact Sieg is Mr Wiff the fool.
Sieg just needs to hang back that's how Pantocrator won the bulk of our casuals offline...the times that he lost are when he started dumb stuff...stance shenanigans/ incorrect spacing/ obvious mixups etc and believe you me...I made him play for it
everything Panto did wrong I made suffer terribly, but he knew how to adapt and kept me thinking...he finally began to break away as soon as I started having headaches and generally feeling ill to even concentrate.
but the main point is...Panto understands he has to hang back as much as he can and when he decides to do dumb shit it's only to test my reactions
So my entire play style was wrong is what you guys are telling me? I get it though. Hang back, Press Oki, and poke more. I've been playing Sieg all sorts of wrong. lol
that's the idea of spacing...stay back till you see an opening, capitalise on it and press that advantage until you feel you can't press it any further, then you do it all over again.
Rgarding Oki I'd say try and do less agA, don't get me wrong by all means use since you time it quite well on wake, but I'd suggest more 1K/2B/throws
also you have to understand that Sieg isn't as fast as NM and has more whiffing issues, so you have to play THAT much more cautiously...but yes try going less Hollywood with big attacks and hard reads and more with basic, simple pokes...the more you work these in, the better your fundamentals become and the more you condition your opponent
Well, I've never seen you fight NM I don't think so I'm not really commenting on that lol. I'm just saying 22A is bae. Siegfried is also > nightmare at midrange (just out of 3K range) since Sieg has those lame ass pokes. Also, is WR B ~ SCH B a natural combo on Nightmare? If it is, that's another thing to abuse lol.
