    Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

As stated above, I'm not denying there are those who have more legitimate reasons for not rematching, and there are obvious exceptions when opponents are mindless mashers, or just trolling. But in my experience excruciatingly many players never rematch although you're a decent matchup, with...

I play ranked solely because the casual rooms are painfully few and always filled with the same lot. Plus, waiting time is cut down considerably (mostly). I care nothing for the leveling.

    Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

I'm not denying there are those who have more legitimate reasons for not rematching. However, it really isn't possible to judge someones abilities based off a single match. So much can go wrong, completely throwing off impressions.

Are any Cervantes players in here able to do his jf 214+B reliably with a controller? It's so damn inconsistent on my end.

    Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Players who don't rematch know they're probably gonna lose, which seems to be a general problem. Some kids are just SO afraid of loosing that they refuse to actually spend some time with their opponent, beyond a single match. It's not like there's an abundance of people on ranked and still many...

It never seizes to amaze me how much hurt Seong-Mina can dish out. Found out a lethal combo that gets around 135 in damage; No wall shenanigans, no super, just plain little Mina. Stupid crazy. (But the damn thing seems to require an ukemi hit).

That would make sense if I'm better against these opponents in particular but I just feel sharper overall, quicker, playing smarter in general. Maybe other movesets give you perspective on things and your brain processes the gameplay differently. Or some shite.

Have you guys ever experienced a heightened play when returning to a character you used to play alot, perhaps mained, but neglected for a while? I switch more than ever in SC6 and whenever I get back to previous ones it's like I'm alot sharper with them. I play more safe, react quicker, find new...

Whoah. The damage that comes from super finishers with Cervantes. It's like they forgot to scale it.

Still sounds like an oxymoron to me. There's missed potential in these flimsy written voices, but I guess SC lines should be half-twit corny. It's probably done by choice at this point.

Are more CAS voices too much to hope for in the DLC packs? They get old so fast, and some of them are amazingly stupid. "You realize what you have when it's gone" <--- what the hell is that? If it's gone, I sure don't have it. I'd rather lose on purpose than to end with a victory phrase like that.

Same here. Those CAS dicks haunt me at night.

Siegfrieds wall combos truly are something else. Half the bar, just like that, with simple stuff. ~130 damage with a super finisher. ~150 soul charged. They aren't even that hard to pull off during matches. People must be shaking their heads. Edit: ~130 even without super finisher, non SC.

Yeah, glass cannons is a way of putting it. I find that matches become chaotic and unpredictable quite often, even when there's a clear experience gap between players, and even when trying to play it safe. The lifebar seems to drain by itself sometimes (Kilik sighs and nods). This is all fine...

Whenever I find better ways of doing certain inputs it's like I have to relearn my play before I can do the move instinctively during fights. It takes time! Me no likey!

I feel SCVI is relatively balanced, especially compared to previous games. But then again, once in a while, you fight someone who is so hilariously strong with a character - as in you-don't-stand-a-chance-despite-being-REAL GOOD - and these characters have been talked about alot in this forum...

    Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Every time I go through arcade on legendary I'm reminded of how incompetently they made Inferno. I've beaten him with pure cheese and luck before, but this time it's like a dead end. I just literally gave up because it's late, and that shit ain't worth it. And to be honest here, that's not how...

Regarding Raphael. The really good ones won't let you move an inch. I've met a couple and won't soon forget it. They certainly know how to exploit his speed. He's easy to GI but that doesn't help much if they know what they're doing. So yeah, I also suspect some cracks.

    Soul Calibur VI: General discussion

Here's a topic. Have you ever occasionally met that one beginner who's got the basic attack/guard down but is randomly spewing out attacks left and right, and almost wins the match because he/she is so unpredictably unaware of anything? What if you could harness that arbitrary prowess and...
