    Easiest way for a non SC player to conceptualize this... Imagine Guile. Now give him a spinning piledriver that bounces people back to full screen. That's basically what we're describing here.

    Well, just bear in mind people figured that out about Hilde very quickly. Counter play never amounted to much etc. She dictated every game she was in to the detriment of the game. Ivy's tools as they are don't leave much wiggle room in that respect, and I don't think they'd have to change a ton...

    Hmm. Ivy can RO you from full screen with a low throw. She's also not fully baked yet in terms of damage output etc. I don't think counter play will reveal she's opened up. I think Ivy will likely just get stronger once people better know what they're doing with her.

    Unlikely. They rebalanced Sophie etc from build to build. I doubt Ivy will be any different.

    But she glowes purple and raises her arms for the throw and just stabs the ground for the other. Perfectly practical when your attention is focused under your own character's feet.

    Ok question for you. Why does that low grab need to track sideways? Ivy has multiple moves to check step already. As it is now, the way her move set is structured, opponents are limited to a 2d plane with highly restricted options on wakeup. How would removing that side tracking with that...

    BAK can knockdown if you hold the K a little. As it is, it seems to me that Maxi's going to be built around baiting GI/RE and opening up looping via guard breaks making them hesitate to use those defensive mechanics. There's a lot of mindgame potential within the loops as is. The issue there...
