I'll take a stab: (based on Paragon's with my own tweaks and Devil Jin)
(In order from best to worst)
S: Alpha Pat, Mitsurugi, Cervantes, Pyrrha Omega, Algol*
A: Viola, Nightmare, Astaroth, Pyrrha, Natsu, Patroklos, Ivy, Yoshimitsu, Xiba*
B: Voldo, Siegfried, Devil Jin*, Leixia, Maxi, Hilde...
I've encountered more difficulty, this time against Astaroth. He has a lot of really good low attacks, especially that little spinny one he does... 1AA maybe? In any case, I'm noticing people online spam a lot of low moves, which catches a lot of people (including me) off guard. It makes me end...
Like I said, interesting stuff ;)
I personally believe he's going to end up being mid to upper-mid at the end of the day, though.
also this boosted my faith in Sieg some:
Nothing else really needs to be said about the subject after that.
One of my favorite moments in SCV so far was beating a Voldo player on XBL, where the majority of my offense was just Sieg's 3B over and over. Most of the time people sidestep or guard impact, but this guy just kept taking it...
Sorry, have to disagree there. Natsu is still ridiculously powerful in even novice hands. She isn't quite at the point of button mashingly easy to play but she's definitely not too tough to pick up. Its not big hits or anything necessarily that are the source of her big damage, its the easiness...
Interesting stuff. I find it funny how aPat should be the best but isn't because he's near impossible to use. Wouldn't that be a character flaw, and thus, make him not that great?
Also, I strongly believe Siegfried is not nearly as bad as people are saying. I've had a lot of success with him...
Omega gives me a ton of trouble, too. I'll get knocked down, particularly from her annoying stab deal (I don't play her, don't know what it is). It's a fast move, it knocks me down, and then when I'm flat on my back I just have to take my beating. Literally no idea how to counter the crap she's...
I'll definitely check it out, thanks. I find myself trying to go nose-to-nose a lot without really meaning to, usually because of blocked moves and me trying to keep the pressure on. Patience and spacing are things I need to work on, which can be tough due to the fast paced nature of some of the...
That's a good point. I often times try to get in their faces way too much instead of "bating" them properly. As Sieg its very tempting to just start spamming 3B in their faces if they don't know what to do to get out of it. AA(B) into K+BE and 3B3B is another one I try to go for a lot but its...
Good point. aPat is really fast and tricky, so a lot of the time I'm trying to think 2 or 3 moves ahead, but his mixups are so good I often get caught. Cervantes has an incredibly good ground game, too. Any character that can move from mids to lows with quick succession is dangerous.
Alpha is another big problem for me. His ground hits are devastating and rapid. That one where he hops over you and hits you on the ground is particularly annoying. Him, Cervantes, an Natsu are like my biggest challenges right now.
Great replies guys, I appreciate it. Sometimes I try to "over guard" if that makes sense, and end up holding the button rather than trying to tech. I guess that's something I need to work on. A lot of the time I'm trying to figure if I should hit guard before or during a hit... 4G sounds like a...
I know, I know. And believe me I mix things up, but its amazing how fast that move comes out sometimes and how people lower their guard in attempts to counter it... And don't realize they can side step...
