I have a hori ex2 soul calibur 4 limited edition stick, but it has a square gate... Would I need to get anything other than an octagon gate to make it an octagon stick versus a square? When I open the case of the stick, what would I need to do to switch them? I would be ordering the parts...

It's good to specialize, but in a few characters... I specialize as Ivy and have Voldo and Hilde as my "backup" or my other good characters, but I still can't coordinate them like I can with Ivy.

Whip Fails Sword can be amazing but Ivy can't get in range with it. Coil is a combination of whip and sword so it has attributes of both. Whip is meant for the range game and is great for starting combos and decimating people who don't know when/where to block. The pelvic thrust ( 44A+B )...
