Question: Siegfried's Base Hold Stance and GI

Did not know the GI lasted as it did in SCIV. I thought it was only applicable when it has the green glow. The more you know.

    Patch Wishlist

I actually have a vid of that happening (still need to upload it) and I can say that they definitely didn't duck at all, and yes, it was a Lexia player. And as if by magic here's the vid.

Let's talk about Siegf's moves you don't use

22_88 B is one good anti roll move. If you use 1AA as a tech trap then they shouldn't be able to guard it. The idea behind a tech trap is it gives more damage if the opponent tries to get up to guard the attack. If they can guard the first hit then you didn't use it as a tech trap. Eg. SRSH...

Let's talk about Siegf's moves you don't use

I know but it's the only way I found that could actually be viable. I personally don't use the move so it was all speculation. And no I didn't go because I'm not a pro player. I only play for fun which for me is not at a competitive level.

Let's talk about Siegf's moves you don't use

I think the idea Stryker was having with 4BBB is not the move it's self but what can come after. He will use either only 4B 4BB or 4BBB. If he uses 4BBB alot he can then start using something like 4BB then catch the opponent off guard with a throw or something. It works the other way round as...

    Character specific punishment list.

    Mitsurugi's 2KB can be punished with 1B.

Why did you pick Siegfried as MAIN?

2A+B doesn't side step and it definitely doesn't add in retreat either. Wrong move perhaps? Actually thinking about it you might get a slight retreat then straight into an approach.

Why did you pick Siegfried as MAIN?

Sorry but have to disagree with you there. Sieg's attack gets blocked then Sieg gets punished as long as the opponen knows what they are doing. Classic example is Sophitia's 236B which will punish most of Sieg's most common moves easily. 3B? punished, 22_88B? punished. This goes for any...

Its when you expect a mixup but they don't mix it up, thats what mainly screws me over.

    Siegfried Mirror Matches

Advice, press the first A harder so it gets pressed. Although if you fail to do it you guard, with me it's either iagA or just plain old AA, luckily I usually get it when it counts. Just continue to practice and eventually you will get it. Bet your opponent was like WTF after seeing you do...

    Siegfried Mirror Matches

Always, every time. You either win by alot or get completely destroyed and its all down to the different mind games each and every sieg uses to beat their opponent.

    Overtoss vs Flapjack

Overtoss with your back to the ring can be fun. Do a quick duck to make it look like you're going to overtoss but stand back up and 1B. They duck to block the overtoss but get hit with 1B instead leading to the ringout anyway. Of course when they figure that out you just overtoss them anyway...

    Siegfried vs Cassandra

Several ways here. There is 1AA or SSH AA or a+ka2A I think you mean 3B instead of 9B. So its 3[B] SCH K. If they do continually guard against it throw out a throw to try and get them to duck, the you can pull out 3[B] SCH K.

    3 A+B/[A+B] Strategy/Use ?

2A+B and 3A+B are the same move. Personally I used to use it but after a while I found better alternatives and stopped using it.

    Post-GI Mixups

I think you have your moves a bit mixed up. 22[B] goes into SSH not SRSH. If you want to use SSH then 22[B] SSH A+B would work. For SRSH its 88[B] SRSH B 33B

How much has 8way run helped your game?

Helped alot, mainly for the different mixups/techs and its given me an insight into characters unsafe moves.

    Cheapest character in sc4

cancels Actually i started maining nightmare in SC2, just because he wields a big sword, no other reason. In SC3 siegs moveset closely matched that of SC2 NM so I stuck with him. During all that time I was only fighting AI and my only experience of human competition was my brother who mains...

    Cheapest character in sc4

Sieg is not really fast, in fact hes one of the slower characters in the game. Most of his moves are unsafe on block and most of his mixups from a stance can easily be avoided or blocked. His mixups ar eeasily recognisable with a little practice and can easily be punished. Evne entering a...
