The backstep nerf actually buffed some characters. Anyway Russell, you should go play NM. Lot's of mixups, good wakes, nice RO, and above average damage. You'll have lots of fun.

Not sure if anyone has tried this out post-patch. Go into training mode, pick Leixia as your opponent, set AI to guard all, and do 66A at point blank range. It'll whiff randomly. I've whiffed it 5 consecutive times. If you put some space between the characters, it won't whiff. I'm not sure...

How are you guys dealing with the nerfed backstep? How do you create space when the opponent gets inside?

Nerfed backstep makes me sad. So hard to space with mid-ranged fighters now... grrrrrrrrrrrrr! I have to unlearn my backstep now. :( I see how this is going to hurt characters like Xiba and Seig.
