It seems that every time I perform this move, sometimes I'll have my back facing the cpu, sometimes I won't and that's what I'm trying to get control over. Does this just happen at random or what input am I missing?
It's an alignment issue. Since 22A does significantly move sideways, it's easy to hit your opponent off axis. When you're face to face with your opponent, you'll almost always land backturned, however, if your opponent was stepping when it connected, there's a chance that you'll land facing them in a crouching state.
You have no control in the way of additional inputs to dictate if you land facing towards or away from them.
But being back turned is not a bad thing since you are very fast after that move.(safe on block and at a good advantage on hit when i remember correctly)And you can do cool combos out of BT state that start with BT A+B or BT 2K as seen in Taki study and the other stickies.
