Considering making Natsu tutorials for SC5, would there be interest?

So you may or may not know me as being a Natsu main from the UK, going by Total x Avenger or TxA for short. I stream on occasions and am hoping to do it more frequently.

I've decided to put together an in-depth Natsu guide on YT if and when SC6 comes out because I feel as though I know more than enough about my character, and that I can put the information together into a format which is understandable for all, with the ultimate goal of teaching people Natsu and anti-Natsu. What I am undecided on however is whether to go about making content for SC5, mainly because of how dead it is in it's current state. I get people asking me for help with Natsu all the time and being able to refer them to pre-made videos would be great, and I feel that what there is to offer on Natsu on YT right now is sub-par to say the least. I certainly didn't find anything helpful when I looked her up, except for one or two combo videos which did nothing more than demonstrate them, no commentary or explanation with it.

My question to you all is would there be much interest? Do you think it's a good idea or should I just wait for SC6, then go about starting a big project such as this? I'm planning to go into detail on every aspect of SC's fundamentals, how they apply to Natsu, strategies for using her etc.

Things like her tech-trap options (which are important to know for anyone wanting to learn her), her standard pokes, things to test for in the opponent with her (such as if they know how to deal with her PO stance), I found that information to be impossible to find except from going directly to a pro Natsu and asking them, or working it out for myself over time which is what I did.

Essentially what I am saying is that I will be making an extensive Natsu guide/tutorial when SC6 is out, but I am curious as to know whether I should bother making content now for SC5. I have the equipment I need - capture device, microphone etc., so that is no issue. Even if it was just a few videos talking about her combos and strategies, I would be happy with that.

I am aware that I am assuming Natsu will be included in SC6, I can't see why she shouldn't, but in the case that she is dropped from the cast, I'll be calling it quits with SC so this wouldn't matter regardless ;)

We don't know when or if a SCVI is coming, so make content while there is still a good amount of people still playing.

I think you should make the Nastu SC5 quides still. It's practice for you so your SC6 ones if they happen can be even better :)

Also let's say SC6 doesn't include Natsu then at least you made this guide for Natsu in SC5 in tribute for all the hardwork you have put into SC since you started.

Also let's say SC6 doesn't include Natsu
What blasphemy! :O

Hmm I think I might cover a few areas here and there for SC5 but it will probably unstructured in terms of a formal series, then wait for SC6 before I do that. Maybe a random video on Natsu's pokes then a video on some strategies. If I decide to put something together then I'll notify here. If anyone has suggestions then feel free to put them forward.

I'll be uploading matches as well soon, so anyone who wants a chance to demonstrate their skills for YT viewers, feel free to ask me for a streamed/recorded set which I can upload.

FYI I'm planning on getting a PS3 soon so I can see what PSN has to offer, just a little heads up to those who are PSN-only.

Hmm, can't tell for sure if the irony was intentional. Well I'll let you know when I am on PSN, should be by Wednesday. Be sure to appreciate the fact that I am in the UK so it's 3 bar at best unless you are East Coast, not to mention I live on a University campus so the Internet connection can be problematic. Just a premise.

tbh you're a little late on making a Tut...a lot of people have moved on/stopped playing SCV altogether and it's not like there's any groundbreaking tech out there that hasn't been discovered already, Not to mention all the info is already at everyone fingertips...both on 8WR and in the FB groups...but if you still gonna go for it then by all means.

Also you're gonna play on PSN...with wireless...I'd take a rain check on getting that PS3...servers have been really bad the last few weeks from what I've heard...and with wireless...good luck attempting to sign in...let alone get a match going

Info on a character's pokes/tech-traps/strategies etc. doesn't seem to be easy to come by. Making videos on this would mostly be good practice for when SC6 is out.

I have a PS3 now, running it on wired ethernet and indeed I can barely connect with 30% of players but I believe that's to do with the Uni's restrictive firewall blocking the majority of connections. Anyone who's only on PSN I can try connecting with, but for those who have XBL, that's always the preferred choice now it seems.

Yeah there's combos, and indeed tech-traps which I was wrong to say aren't covered, but there isn't any application of them, or information on pokes, how to space with her, strategies for using her etc.

That video you linked is great, I think I left a comment on there a while ago saying how good it was, but like I say, there's no application to it, something which I believe is helpful.

If someone wanted to know more than just arbitrary combos and tech-traps, they would have to ask a Natsu player directly, the info just isn't there. If I made videos covering the application of techniques, I believe it would help a lot of people. If you disagree then that's fine.

Hahaha! So that's where the replays of me at EMS went! Attack, attack, attack.. Kappa

Now you see why I'm so desperate to make Natsu guides hehe.

make sure to use 2A+B in a situation where you are gonna get slashed in the throat...and if it does land make sure that you definitely don't follow up with the PO throw...Kappa
