Crane Transition Analysis

This list is to help show you options vs. typical retaliations while in crane.
Your main defensive options:
-=-
CR>B+K~G: Jumps over most attacks and puts you in BT~FC; this move will get you out of a jam vs. people who are familiar with (and exploit) crane's weaknesses (crane is weak vs. 2A, 2K, 3K, Throw). If they whiff basic pokes you will be at mild disadvantage in BT, if they commit to any canned string (AA_BB etc) you get a free BT poke, or mixup of your choice.
CR>A+K: TC under highs and throws; this is strong because it TC’s early, has good wakes, and covers step well (there is hole to left step but step timing is specific).
CR>B: interrupter and B breaker; this move is key because of its range and potential for CH combos, it also helps force hesitation.
CR>K: TJ in early frames; a key pressure move due to its (and CR>K:G’s) frames, it also has good CH damage potential to help force hesitation.
