How It Works

First you must sign up to EACH ranking battle (EMSRB001, EMSRB002, etc), make sure you sign up with a VALID email address as you will miss your match updates. You MUST sign up with your desired name and gamertag for XBOX live in brackets ()


e.g Jon Killalot (jon_xbox_Live_Tag)


You may miss a ranking battle season if you fail to provide the correct gamertag


Once signed up you will receive an email from “notifier@challonge.com” telling you who your next opponent is.


Each participant will play 3 matches per week (Subject to change). Your next opponent can only be determined once all first-round matches are completed. Once your opponent has been identified, please try to play the match on the same day or the day after receiving the Challonge message.


It is up to you to contact your opponent via ingame messaging and arrange the match, You must complete your match within the “Round” deadline, the deadline will be posted at the top of this page, for forum users just use this link

Once you have had your match BOTH you and your opponent must report the results on..

There you MUST complete the form/email (form contents below)


Combatants Gamertags – Your gamer tag and your opponents gamertag
Match Date – dd/mm/yyyy Thats day/month/year
Match Results – You must post the proper score e.g 5-2 (Gamertag wins)
Notes – You can use this field to let us know of any issues. We also require you to put the name of your main character here.


Once submitted the EMS team will compare the submissions and update the tables. If there are differences we will contact both members to resolve the differences.

Please remember to save your replays in case of disputes, this is the only form of proof we accept for disputes.

Points system


Match win – 1
Set win – 4
Match draw – 0
Set draw – 0

We will update the Ranking battle table on a weekly basis and it will include results from all seasons concatenated, the table can be found here

We will run the ranking battle for X seasons, at the end of this season we will put together a tournament for the top 16/32 (TBA) where there will be and entry fee and prizes.

Rules

- You must complete your match regardless of lag during a set.

- CAS Characters are banned (this includes Devil Jin), Custom edits of original characters is allowed.

- Reporting false results WILL get you removed from the ranking battle.

- Danpierre is allowed.

- Loser can change character, winner cannot.

- Quitting midmatch will lose you the game, if you do it 2 times you lose the whole set with 0 points.

- 3 Rounds 60 Seconds and random stage select

- Set is best of 9 games (first player to reach 5 games wins)


- You are NOT allowed to change your XBOX live gamertag during a season

May I ask something? By Customs of Regular characters do you mean recolors or any clothes on them?

Hi all,

We will extend the deadline until sunday 00:00 GMT, if you fail to have your matches by then you match will be void (0-0 Draw).

If your opponent is not responding to you let me know and I will deal with it.

Emp Cow contacted me stating you did not reply to his friend request. I heard nothing from you thus the match was defaulted in his favour.

You need to contact me via the varios methods provided if any issues arise which I have stated many times

email, pm, contact form, xbox live or forum post.

The fact you have posted this 5 days after the deadline leads me to believe you probably have not read your emails yet.

If you want you can still have your match with emp cow and I can update the results.

The reason we do this as too many people take too long to respond and delay the entire RB, thats why deadlines must be met.

I never got a friend request from him. I got one from silent and one from miaoux, which i accepted.
I got one message from him which said "yo". Thats it.

Sure its my fault to not have checked my opponent, but when my opponents biggest effort was to send me "yo", than i dont understand how he claims a 5:0 for him.

Its ok from my part now, i'll just play my other matches.

No bullshit. Its a fun tournament, nothing to take serious. Claiming a win after sending me nothing but YO is kind of weird, isnt it. Its not like im hard to reach or contact. I thought the purpose is to have some fun matches, meet some new players.

Guess its not. UK has declared war to me. Im ready :P

We did a poll on various forums and offline events and xbox live destroyes PSN on interest so we decided to start with that.

We are working on starting a PSN version but we will need just a little more interest to start it.

We had about 76 people vote for xbox live but only 16 - 20 sign for tourneys

so far 13 people voted for PSN...

Catch my drift :)
 
Bumping this.

AFAIK this is the main Online tournament event for Europe on XBL.

It's free to enter and you get to face the mighty Hyrul as well as some German guy called Docsomething
 
Oh, this is for EU online? I must've missed that in the rules somewhere. It's probably for the best. I'd hate to expose Hyrul for a fraud online. Not Docvizzo though, that guy is legit.
